Detail-oriented Accounting professional with experience in providing support to the Finance Department including assisting the Controller in developing, coordinating, and implementing new systems and procedures.

The Accounting Supervisor performs any functions related to payroll, general ledger and bank reconciliations, and provides direction and support to Accounting Support personnel to ensure effective functioning of the US accounting department.

•	Ensures that daily tasks are allocated effectively and timelines and daily goals are met, using the information providing by the Accounting Manager.
•	Communicates and monitors daily and monthly goals and achievements to all team members in the department.
•	Provides feedback to the Accounting Manager around A/P, A/R, payroll, client, and personnel issues.
•	Oversees the staffing levels and authorizes vacations, LOA’s and schedule changes.
•	Reviews and finalizes timesheets in accordance with payroll cutoffs.
•	Trains, mentors and provides guidance to all accounting support.
•	Follows up with team members in regards to their performance and the current expectations.
•	Conducts performance evaluations on all reporting Accounting Support and puts forth wage recommendations for final approval by the Accounting Manager.
•	Involved in the recruitment and selection and on boarding process for new Accounting Support.
•	Participates in HR duties as required. 
•	Adds and terminates team members in assigned payroll programs.
•	Processes payroll for the 15th and last day of each month.
•	Verifies payroll to ensure accuracy.
•	Liaises with Ceridian for year-end payroll processes.
•	Posts payroll accrual and other payroll related entries.
•	Reconciles all bank accounts daily.
•	Liaises with NRI accountant for funds transfer, cash flow and foreign exchange transactions.
•	Selects clients to be paid for staff purchases and weekly check runs.
•	Creates work orders for charges to clients for administrative services.
•	Provides coverage for Accounting Support.
•	Review A/P and A/R postings.
•	Processes staff orders and collects payments.
•	Applies payments to client accounts.
•	Processes billing semi-monthly.

Accounting Supervisor

Through the acquisition of Summit Entertainment, LLC by Lions Gate Films Inc. in January 2012, I moved from my audit position at Summit into the Participations and Residuals department at Lions Gate where I have worked on a number of projects including three external audits – payroll compliance for the Director’s Guild of America; expense audit for the Tri-Guilds; participants audit for Goldcrest; as well as two other internal audits. Began preparing and reviewing “reporting statements” for participants’ residual monies due – monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually – for a multitude of titles and companies. I am currently handling all "Sales Agency" titles and reporting fees due for libraries and titles for both Lions Gate as well as Summit Entertainment.
