Logan Stoick: Returns Department in Pullman, WA

-Facilitated the transfer of the returns department to a new company headquarters in Nov. 2019. Developed the physical layout for the department to optimize the use of space and manage workload. -Evaluated the existing returns processes to uncover areas of waste. Tested and introduced new procedures to provide a smoother and more hassle-free returns experience for both NRS and the end customer. -Developed new training documents to reflect departmental changes, distributed new materials via the cloud, increasing longevity, and providing easier access to information. -Monitored the return of defective items, tracked developing trends, communicated findings with research, development, and purchasing teams. -Implemented a “Used Item Program” to facilitate the sales of lightly used items. The program aims to keep gear alive and, on the river, instead of in landfills. -Advisory member on a committee built to prioritize the IT team’s tasks. Developing long term goals and plans to help benefit the sales team and the company as a whole.

-Guided customers through the process of purchasing and outfitting whitewater rafts. Communicated important information clearly through email, phone, and face-to-face correspondence. -Outfitted customers with the right gear to facilitate a safe and enjoyable time on the water. Educated customers on how to take care of their investment on and off the water. -Resolved issues as they arose, worked alongside other departments to ensure the problem is solved and the customer is happy with the conclusion. -Gained in-depth knowledge of the paddling and outdoors industries while providing support to personal users and professional businesses. -Collaborated with our marketing group, our dealers, and our external suppliers to ensure a brand consistent product delivery.

-Assisted in the coordination of Boeing 737 parts between service vendors, line maintenance, and inventory stores. Recovered over $300,000 in misappropriated parts. -Collaborated with a small branding group and an LED supplier. Helped to contribute to a unique in-flight lighting experience presentation to the VP of marketing. -Produced and distributed inventory cost and time information through the use of Microsoft SharePoint programs: Excel, Access.
