Teaching focuses on business law, business ethics, investments/private equity, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and international law.

Manage all aspects of deal generation, diligence, structuring and execution for lower-middle market private equity investments in the sports, outdoor and active lifestyle consumer goods space.

Practice focuses on corporate transactional law, mergers & acquisitions, stategic alliances and venture financing. Significant experience in cross border transactions and in the healthcare, energy, manufacturing, and technology industries.

Served as Uganda Country Director for Innovation - Africa (f/k/a Jewish Heart for Africa), an NGO dedicated to delivering directuse photovoltaic solar energy systems to rural Africa. As Country Director, I spent one month in Africa to advise on establishing legal presence in Uganda, manage existing projects, identify potential new projects, build professional networks, hire local personnel and open a local office.

Corporate Law: Experience negotiating and drafting all aspects of mergers and acquisition agreements and related ancillary documentation for transactions in the agricullture/food production; energy, healthcare, education, construction, technology, pharmaceutical and chemical industries (deal values ranging from $9 million to $20 billion). Joint Venture/Equity Investments: Experience in all aspects of private preferred stock equity financing arrangements and power-plant project financing arrangements.

Real Estate and Land Use: Experience in real estate asset purchase and sale, construction financing, leasing and California land use regulations.
