3D Lead Apparel Technical Designer

I am a Senior Technical Designer with expertise in 3D Garments for both domestic and imported apparel. 

My 12 years of experience in the fashion industry entail 3D Garment Design, Technical design, Pattern Making, Physical and 3D Fittings, Graphic Design, Sketching, CADing, and currently as a 3D project lead. I specialize in contemporary, evening, athleisure, active, sport wear for women, men, juniors, and children. 

My goal is to work with a talented group of people and contribute my knowledge and expertise to every project that I am a part of, as well as continue to expand my knowledge and skills in the 3D and Pattern Making.

• Leading 3D projects
• Prepare and edit factory patterns to be used in 3D
• Creating 3D garments from design using true-to-scale digital patterns in V-Stitcher (Browzwear)
• Uploading 3D styles to Stylezone and UP with detailed specs and critical design comments
• Performing fittings of physical and virtual garments
• Pattern adjustments in V-Stitcher and/or Optitex
• Building textures, trims and washes for 3D Garments in Photoshop/ Illustrator
• Training new 3D artists
• Key personnel in all 3D communications with Factories, Browzwear, Alvanon, Walmart 3D & Ecoshot Teams
• Generating Tech-Packs in Illustrator (sketching, call outs, specs, grading, BOMs)

• Measuring and fitting garments on a live fit model
• Creating Tech-Packs with call-outs, specs, grading, and BOMs
• Making fit comments
• Submitting Tech Packs and Fit comments to the PLM System and factories

Technical Designer (Technical Engineer)

• Leading fittings and executing comments for factories
• Generating Tech Packs (Sketching, call outs, specs, grading, BOMs)
• Collaborating with material sourcing
• Maintaining design calendars with up-to-date deadlines and garment status
• Participating in photoshoots and fashion runways

Technical Designer

• Generating Tech Packs (Sketching, call outs, specs, grading, BOMs)
• Assisting the pattern makers to make templates
• Testing shrinkage on fabrics
• Collaborating in the creation of art/graphics for screen-printing, embroideries, and studding
• Assisting the designers to source materials and arrange meetings
• Organizing and maintaining the library of crystal studding artwork
