Key Accountabilities: • Provide leadership to establish solid, competent, and results-oriented merchandising teams in the Thailand & Bangladesh offices by providing systematic training and mentoring to improve the service standard. • To initiate the product offshoring process in the Thailand office to face the 'pricing' constraints efficiently by enhancing the company's cost-driven business strategy. (Products were offshored to neighboring countries such as Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam). ? General Manager - Merchandising, Planning & Embellishments Based in the Next PLC manufacturing facility (Next Manufacturing Ltd) in Sri Lanka. Key Accountabilities: • To initiate and spearhead the VM operation (Virtual Manufacturing - Strategic product outsourcing) to expand the production capacity while securing better pricing and greater planning flexibility. • To set up Screen Printing & Rib Knitting operations at Next Embellishment Plant to achieve better pricing and lead-time on embellished products. ? Merchandising Manager / Senior Merchandiser Based in one of the Next PLC sourcing facilities (NV Production Ltd) in Sri Lanka Joined as a Sr. Merchandiser in 1998 and eventually progressed to the position of Divisional Merchandising Manager. The company merged with Next Asia Ltd (a subsidiary of Next PLC) in 2002 and eventually changed its name to Next Sourcing Ltd.
