Mallory Jones: Assistant Manager in Irvine, CA

Each year Gamma Phi Beta sorority holds a recruitment weekend for incoming students to take apart of the greek life on campus. As an advisor, I over see every aspect that goes into this weekend. I sit in on planning meetings with a collegiate member, meet with vendors, manage a budget, and plan every last detail of this three day weekend. I also, oversee the back side of recruitment as well. Which includes the membership selection process, recruitment training, and working with CSUF and the city for planning permits.

I wored at the pool and in the weight room at the Titan Recreational Center at Cal State Fullerton. My main job focus is to watch the pool at all times, deliver first aid, CPR, and AED if needed. In the weight room, I interact and supervise all attendants, hand out equipment, and watch for any problems that may occur. I spend much of my day interacting with people either who work there as well or who need assistance, I learned time management and many communication skills needed in the real world.

At Kiss I taught kids from the ages of 3 to 16. I teach different techniques for swimming, strengthen all four strokes, teach private swim lessons, and watch over all children in the classes.

As an employee at Sidecca I learned how to maintain the floor, where I fixed clothing walls, cleaned merchandise, kept floors clean, and made sure customer service was always our main priority. I loved working in their fast pace environment.
