i love all sports.  i am very competitive.  i played baseball for about 14 years growing up.  soccer for 6 years.  i started skateboarding when i was 7.  started surfing when i was 14.  i lived in breckenridge colorado for 3 years.  i snowboarded all over co during that time.  i absolutely love hiking

Thanks for checking out my profile.  My name is Matt Hunker, I am an energized and opportunity minded Client Services Manager.  I am a pro-active leader who values teamwork, creativity, and sharing experiences.  I have over 14 years of memorable practice in delivering exceptional customer service in the retail and hospitality industries.  I am very passionate about helping people and organizations be there best.

As the Store Manager for the Rip Curl Surf Center in Orlando, Florida, I was very successful at managing a profitable and respectable business.  At Rip Curl Orlando I thoroughly enjoyed recruiting, training, and mentoring an engaged sales staff.  I loved the business to business responsibilities.  I used my education in marketing to create several fun local events that generated incremental foot traffic and sales to the store.

I have moved from Florida to Colorado and now to San Diego where I have lived for the last 3 years.  I have been working for Hyatt Hotels in Guest Services for about 2 years now.  I was recently promoted to be my departments Ambassador and Trainer.  I have since completely redesigned our entire Host Department Training Program.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida.  My major field of study was Marketing and Business Management.  I received exemplary marks in the following courses: Management of Organizations, Sales Force Management, Professional Selling, Marketing Management, and Marketing Research and Analysis.

I use some of my free time to volunteer with the Surfrider Foundation here in San Diego.  I do most of my work with the Events and Fundraising Committee.  I have helped to organize, promote, and service Surfrider San Diego's Art Gala 2 out of the last 3 years.  The Art Gala is the County Chapter's largest fundraiser of the year.

An Andaz San Diego Host is a very dynamic position that works profoundly with all hotel departments.  In this role I have taken on complete responsibility to ensure thorough guest satisfaction.  Daily responsibilities include:  managing the guest's experience, creating and modifying guest's reservations, selling guest rooms, scheduling guest's activities, and coordinating housekeeping and engineering services.  As the Host Ambassador and Trainer I performed Hotel tours for potential group bookings.  I recently, successfully redesigned our entire Host Training Program.

Since I joined the team I have been a top performer in almost all major job proficiencies.  With regards to our customer satisfaction surveys, I am ranked number 1 on my team in the following performance measures:  Net Promoters Score (Likelihood to recommend **this is Hyatt Hotels' number 1 measure on customer satisfaction), Customer Service, Check in Process, Staff Sincerely Cared, and Remembers me and my Preferences

•	High volume, multitasking dream- moving upwards of 200 guests per hour in 1       
shuttle, seeing 50 to 250 reservations check in and check out per day, plus multiple               
buses of ski groups ranging from 20 to 100 people per group

•	Coordinate guests check in and check out procedure by providing luggage                   
     assistance, touring of property, and explanation of amenities and services                

•	Accommodate guests throughout their stay with logistical solutions including:  transportation, outside activity bookings, shipping and receiving packages, and room deliveries

•	Provide guests with up to date area information to maximize their enjoyment on the mountain, at the resort, and in town

•	Be an ambassador of Beaver Runs’ vision, core values, and service standards inside the workplace and outside in the local community
