Creative & Design

Matt Stein is an awarded and industry recognized Creative Director. For 20+ years Matt
has been helping brands find their voice & communicate with power and resonance.
Matt began his career at W+K. Working on ESPN “This is SportsCenter,” X Games,
and Sunday Night Football. In 2002 he moved onto Nike, working across global offices,
leading work on the 2008 Olympics, the 2006 World Cup, producing “Streaker” for the
launch of Shox NZ and directing the Nike Golf account.

In 2008 Matt became partner & co-founder of weights&pulleys, whose goal was to
merge big agency firepower with boutique speed & flexibility. The result being the launch
of world’s #1 App for cyclists & runners (Strava), Lance Armstrong’s bike shop (Mellow
Johnny’s ATX), a bicycle company built for lifestyle (Beloved Cycles) along with strategic
partnerships with Nike Sparq, LAF/Livestrong, FRS, Road ID, Rapha and others.
Since 2008 Matt has led creative for major brands, marketing departments and agencies
around the globe.

Matt’s work has been nominated for an Emmy and awarded by Cannes Lions, International
ANDYS, CLIOS, AICP, British Arrows, Art Directors Club NYC, Advertising
Creative Circle, D&AD, and AICP.

When not working Matt is happy to spend his time with Nikki, Hollis, Vivienne & Buddy
the dog.
