As a second year MBA Candidate at the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine, my goal is to leverage my experience from a $22B Fortune 500 global manufacturer, a $20M aerospace manufacturer recovering from bankruptcy, and a $20B design and engineering firm to move into a role that combines my background in FP&A and process improvement, and my passion for Mergers and Acquisitions. 

I have learned a tremendous amount of financial analysis as it relates to company development and planning, and through all of my experiences, I have seen companies that are having difficulty from overcoming inefficient processes, so my ideal career path would be to to come into a new environment or project, and constantly seek and implement process improvements. 

My Finance and Accounting background across several industries, and exposure in a number of different departments such as FP&A, Mergers & Acquisitions, Audit, and Real Estate Finance, puts me in a strong position to be able to understand how parts of a business will flow to the bottom line, and ultimately achieve the goal of growing a profitable enterprise.

Identified process improvement opportunity for client on-boarding procedure for industry leading employee screening company, to reduce process from 2-4 months to 5-10 days, by reorganizing implementation teams. 

•Led analysis regarding key measures regarding client onboarding process.
•Interviewed key stakeholders involved in client on-boarding process, in order to identify waste and non-value added steps.
•Developed dashboard update to track project status, to ensure all parties and teams involved, including company leadership, were up-to-date on the latest progress and potential risks of the sub-components of the project.

Think Tank Intern

Spearheaded key cost saving initiatives regarding $6B acquisition. Supported teams in Financial Planning & Analysis, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Real Estate Finance groups of an $8B design, engineering and construction services company.

•Identified cost synergies by analyzing headcount overlap for a combined 95,000 person company.
•Optimized model to target real estate inefficiencies with proposed acquisition company, spanning across 150 countries, to help restructure third-party real estate commission agreement and reduce costs.
•Revalidated internal Sarbanes-Oxley policy regarding guidance of Estimate at Completion testing.
•Mentored three undergraduate interns in financial fundamentals and optimal Excel modeling techniques

Corporate Finance MBA Intern

Led two person accounting team for a $20M aircraft hinge manufacturer, to eliminate manual accounting entry system, and to streamline monthly accounting close process.

•	Served as interim assistant controller; Reviewed capital expenditures, identified mis-reported $26K expense based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and tracked inventory movements.
•	Restructured financial model to monitor historical spending and optimize monthly forecast.
•	Compiled ten year strategic plan based upon guidance from senior executive business leaders. Analyzed key performance metrics, including Product Line Profit, Operating Profit, and Cash Conversion.
•	Redesigned outdated accounts receivable process, and implemented weekly statements for 73 customers to increase monthly cash collections by ~$150K.
•	Undertook accounts payable responsibility to ensure smooth department transition. Interviewed, hired, trained and mentored new Accounts Payable clerk.

Financial Analyst

Responsible for monthly accounting close process for North America Automotive Headquarters with a focus on reducing manual input for the financial reporting process.

• Supported IT group with $18.7M operating budget for monthly forecasting. Provided numerous variance analysis reports, as well as amortization and accrual guidance. 
• Streamlined budget publishing process to guaranteed accuracy and increased efficiency by 71%.
• Managed and analyzed 47 capital projects with total capitalization value of $2.7M.

Oversaw completion of 37 corporate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) validations within North American Headquarters. 

• Collaborated between SOX team, validators, process experts across seven intercompany departments, as well as with internal audit department, and external auditors, to order to meet timely and thorough completion of SOX compliance requirements.
• Restructured compliance requirement to create a systematic and seamless process which eliminated human error, and increased efficiency by 136%.

Corporate Sarbanes Oxley Analyst

•	Conducted thorough research and analysis of client dissatisfaction report, which resulted in $65,000 cost savings for The Bank of New York Mellon.
•	Attended all internal, weekly and client meetings, in order to successfully complete all account implementation projects to meet client satisfaction.

Global Securities Services Intern

•	Researched and analyzed mutual funds, stocks, and money managers, in order to help develop existing client portfolios and generate new business. 
•	Headed a campaign as part of a team effort to convert passively managed accounts into the Exchange Traded Funds program to provide active portfolio management, enhance performance and minimize fees. 
•	Utilized the Common Proposal System to create personalized asset allocation, retirement analysis and Morningstar reports for annual client reviews.
•	Developed system which increased efficiency and effectiveness of weekly and quarterly newsletters for clients

Financial Advisor Team Specialist Intern

•	Monitored all daily logistical operations for five week summer program.
•	Coordinated well-being for 60 high school males between the ages of 15 – 18 in dormitories.

Assistant to Teacher/Resident Assistant

•	Organized several seminars on retirement and future financial planning to educate current and prospective clients about retirement planning.
•	Developed research methods and database management for over 2000 clients. 
•	Composed follow-up letters to meetings with high net-worth clients.

Financial Advisor Intern

•	Planned community meetings to verify the effectiveness of the Residential Parking Permit Program in various neighborhoods.
•	Applied quantitative and critical thinking skills to draft reports regarding the effectiveness of the Residential Parking Permit Program, which were approved by City Council and Mayor O’Connor. 
•	Presented recertification proposal reports before the City Planning Commission.

Residential Parking Permit Program Intern

• Planned for the strategic direction of the chapter and governed all internal and external chapter affairs.
• Presided over all chapter meetings, and directed successful spring recruitment to increase chapter membership by 50%.

Founding President

•	Organized and coordinated Pittsburgh Symphony’s summer string camp for 40 children between ages 8 and 14. 
•	Selected music clips from Pittsburgh Symphony concerts to be posted on the Symphony’s website.
