V2Works
Art Director | 02/2014 - 08/2020
Being part of a boutique firm, I learned to excel at many different skills. Over the 6.5 years
I was at V2Works, I gained invaluable team leadership, organizational, and communication
skills as well as an eagle eye for design and an efficient process.
Responsibilities Include:
• Project management and vendor relations including sourcing media, strategies, project budget estimates, project timelines, and organization.
• Print design including concept, layout, design, production, and pre-press for projects ranging from print advertising, billboards, flyers, sales sheets, collateral, trade show booths, and packaging.
• Management of the design team, while still tackling larger, more involved projects.
• Digital design including storyboard and animation asset creation, HTML5 digital ads, and UX/UI design of websites.
• Brand development, asset creation, and organization.
Dollar Signs & Graphics
Graphic Designer | 05/2010 - 11/2013
As the only graphic design and sign shop in South Lake Tahoe, we were consistently
busy helping local store owners get the most out of the busy season. I ran the front office helping customers and managed the sign making team, while being the only designer.
Responsibilities Include:
• Working directly with customers, ensuring their design needs were exceeded.
• Print design including logos, brochures, rack cards, sandwich boards, and monument signs.
• UX/UI design of websites and working with the development team to code and test.
• Oversaw the sign makers and installers to ensure the design transferred from computer to reality without any issues.
• Worked directly with the South Lake Business Chamber’s Business Start-up Program to brand many new businesses complete with a new logo, collateral, and website.
The Brewery at Lake Tahoe
Graphic Designer | 05/2010 - 10/2012
I was hired at The Brewery as a server/bartender, but was soon asked to also help-out with their marketing when they learned about my design background. I helped the owners bring their marketing and advertising ideas to life, while getting to be creative with the design and creation of merchandise and swag sold within the brewery.
Responsibilties Include:
• Print design of flyers, rack cards, and advertising in local news papers.
• Photography of food and drink for advertisements.
• Sticker, coaster, pint labels, and growler label designs.
• Conception and creation of new t-shirt design ideas to be sold at both The Brewery as well as at the Stateline Souvenir store.
• Creation of shirt designs using the direct to garment printer.
• Creation of bar codes and keeping par of merchandise at two locations.
