Position: NPI Engineer (Contract through Superior Group)                                           June 2016 – Present     

NPI Engineer (Contract):  
Interface with manufacturing and design engineering in coordinating the release of new deposition process modules.  Work closely with design engineering to close issues found during manufacturing of new modules. Review new designs for manufacturability and make recommendations to design engineering on improvements. Develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

?	Successfully qualified and released the ECD deposition Vector Excel and Strata GX to HVM
?	Leading multiple process improvement project utilizing process and value stream maps


Mechanical Engineer:
Responsible for designing and implementing modifications to existing products, testing and validation, and effective communication with team members, management and customers. Create complete models, drawings, specifications, and related documents required to produce products and prototypes.  Update CAD models and drawings for multiple medical products.
?	Manage a large portion of the mechanical verification testing activities for the qualification of the Cochlear CP1000 implant lithium ion battery, and the ResMed Monaco lithium ion battery.
?	Logged over 150 hours in Solidworks; Completed week long Hawk Ridge Systems Solidworks course.
Project Sustaining Engineer:
Oversee all engineering changes to production released products for assigned customers including Philips Healthcare, CareFusion, and Siemens.  Lead cross-functional teams including design engineering, operations, supply chain and quality to complete assigned sustaining projects.

Manufacturing Engineer:
Evaluated new part and assembly drawings for emerging and/or prototype programs in order to determine ease of manufacturing, identify unnecessary design requirements, and to ensure all specifications are properly defined to streamline costs and productivity.  
Mechanical/Systems Engineer (Development/Mentor Program):
Identified and resolved mechanical issues to reduce defects in a multi-project environment.  Reviewed and updated drawing changes to accommodate process improvements and cost savings.
?	Involved in failure analysis and engineering disposition for PAC-3 non-compliant material including a project involving a 30% reduction in scrap material over a 3 month period.
