I was on the board of Leucadia 101 Main Street for a decade, which is a non-profit community-based organization that works in partnership with our neighborhood, business owners, property owners, the City of Encinitas, and the County to preserve and revitalize the N. Coast Hwy 101 Corridor. I created the vision, mission and core values, and helped manage the Leucadia Streetscape Project, the largest project in the city’s history.

I've been on the BOD twice now, starting in 1999. I served as Chairman of the Board from 2009 to 2012.

Led world's largest network focused on coastal conservation as a Board member two different times, first in 1999, and more recently as Chairman of the Board, 2009 to 2013. As Chairman, working with the CEO, Surfrider doubled its domestic network size and its U.S. staff, and the network drove more   than 250 coastal victories, supporting the coastal preservation mission and expanded online     engagement to hundreds of thousands of people every month.
