Lead an innovative team in design and testing of advanced systems.

Lead integration engineer for the first product prototype, which involves managing schedule, technical requirements, and project risk to deliver the best product, fully tested, as fast as possible.  My current position draws on my experience with composite aircraft manufacturing, aircraft systems integration, and flight test.

Coordinate chapter business and drive growth of the organization.  Execute the chapter's mission statement of fostering communication among flight test engineers in the Antelope Valley.  Oversaw increased cooperation and partnership with the local AIAA chapter.

Utilized composites manufacturing techniques to design and build primary aircraft structure in a rapid prototype environment adapting to daily build complications and design changes.

Lead flutter flight test engineer for SpaceShipTwo, a suborbital aircraft.  Developed near real time in-flight flutter analysis tools within the IADS environment, as well as post flight data reduction tools.
Lead integrator and focal for the simulation efforts of Stratolaunch, an orbital air launch aircraft. Developed complete in air and on ground flight dynamics model with full pilot in the loop force feedback.  

Designed and built simulation stand with full flight control interfaces, pilots' seat, and visuals.

Developed detail model to simulate landing gear dynamics for ground handling characteristic prediction, evaluation, and design tuning.

Designed and built an engine cooling solution using composite manufacturing techniques for Firebird, an optionally piloted UAV.

Design Engineer, Flight Test Engineer

Validated autopilot mode logic for approach navigation and in-flight mode switching using aircraft simulation tools in a UNIX environment in support of the 787 auto-flight development.

Developed low visibility takeoff gain schedules for the new system architecture on the 787.

Coordinated the development of simulation functionality to allow for aircraft derivative switching capability.

Preformed systems stability and performance analysis for the autopilot and flight management function vertical position control laws.

Developed, analyzed, and tested a 2 axis anomaly detector for integrated approach navigation guidance commands from the flight management function.; Developed and oversaw airfoil testing programs for the development of RIT's Micro-Air Vehicle project.

Performed analysis and development of MATLAB codes that modeled spacecraft behavior by implementing a linearized dynamic model.

Component Systems Engineering  	
Analyzed and studied various connector anomalies and determined root causes and effects on installed hardware, containment plan, and corrective action required by Boeing Satellite Systems and the supplier.

Assisted in support of connector specification revisions, and qualification efforts of new redesigned connectors.; in support of the re-qualification effort of a solar panel connector on the GOES-N spacecraft.

Systems Design Engineer

Supported the collection and analysis of data from high cycle fatigue tests on various couplings.

Verified the consistency of manufacturing between couplings produced in the previous facility and couplings produced in the new facility.  Developed and coordinated a statistical validation program, with results presented in a report accepted by the customer.

Utilized Visual Basic for Applications to create a database that tracked the location of experimental test data folders in preparation for ISO certification.

Mechanical Systems Engineer

Designed, fabricated, and assembled an innovative sensor module that is universally installable in cast iron and steel gas mains that utilizes existing installation tool and practices.  All design work done in SoldWorks 2003.  

Written and verbal communication with vendors, machine shops, and natural gas distribution specialists.
