After successfully climbing the corporate ladder and exceeding sales for many years for an international travel company, my entrepreneurial nature lead me to start my own company.  In 2003, I started a wholesale travel company that specialized in travel packages to Central & South America.  While running my own company I had hands-on experience in creating and launching a number of products; including marketing, promoting and selling; negotiating and managing solutions from start to end.  Along the way, I was engaged in handling the company's finances and bookkeeping. This experience has taught me a lot about multi-tasking, hard work and dedication, and I want to put this knowledge and experience to work for a company that both can benefit from.

Woodbridge International – San Diego, California

Woodbridge International specializes in travel packages to Central & South America.  I created the business concept and executed it from start to finish.  I developed a strategy to build and serve clientele with brochures, print advertising, and trade shows.  In the second year of business I opened a ground operation in Costa Rica called America’s Travel Group (ATG).  Costa Rica was 80% of our gross sales, so presence within country was important.  I also designed and created a database system for the wholesale/travel industry called Fitsnetwork which has been sold to 5 other agencies who currently still use the program.

TourTech International - Irvine, California			
August 1996 – September 2003
TourTech International was a well known wholesale travel company that specialized in Central America packages.  At TourTech International, I developed marketing and sales strategies to increase sales and meet goals.  I revamped the company’s marketing campaign and targeted a niche market in the travel industry. In doing this, I redesigned marketing materials to rebrand or create a new image for the company.  I was deployed to the company’s Costa Rica office to restructure the operation side of the business, develop close relationship with suppliers (hotels, ground operators, etc.), and develop a sales department within the Costa Rica office.  This move was very profitable for the company.

Joined the company as a Marketing Intern and worked closely with the marketing department to develop brand awareness by doing on-site promotions, trade shows, material giveaways and advertising.  Created survey tabulates to learn about clientele to help plan marketing strategies and learn the direction of the industry.  Promoted to Sales Assistant to sell Ad space, and support Sales Executives.
