Print Artist and Schedule Coordinator for Children’s Marketing Department. From catalogs, ads, and product boxes I worked on jobs from start to finish with approval of dielines. Working with vector images, and photographs I kept brand cohesiveness in the look and direction set forth for each product, keeping with critical production dates, and quality expectations. Worked as part of the conference team, creating sign-age for event from setup to tear down for each conference. Worked with Marketing/Product Managers, Product Development Managers and Supply Chain Management to create schedules in Meta for all Curriculum, children’s books and products. Schedules completed averaged over 250 per month.

As Graphic Supervisor I managed five art department employees, and was responsible for scheduling and assigning designers in the areas of both marketing and cover design. I was responsible for creating journal and book covers, textbook covers, encyclopedias, Website and all marketing materials. Keeping with the company high standards I approved art for all direct mail and non-direct mail. I approved each cover, front and back, from conception to final printed cover. I also approved all blue lines for both book covers and printed marketing pieces. I kept the Art Department on schedule for tight deadlines, while still accepting many rush jobs into the department. I helped set the department up on a 100% electronic workflow. Set-up and managed weekly meeting with both the marketing departments. Scheduled and conducted cover meetings with books acquisition editors, and or authors. I kept consent control of all jobs and schedules into and out of the Art Department, as many as 200 different jobs per month. Other duties included hiring freelance photographers for special projects. I helped in finding shot locations, ordered props and set-up photo shoots I also kept all records and supplied data for department budget.
