Customer Service & Support

For the past five years, I have taken a professional journey that has brought me to my current employment in the heating & air conditioning industry. And although, I am gaining customer service experience, regardless of the consumer service or product, I am proud to add this to my list of skills. However, my interests for producing consumer goods is gravitating me back to product development.

For over ten years, I had the privilege of working in design as well as import production for the fashion industry. I have the ability to design/sketch free-hand full fashion figures, prepare technical packages with a thorough understanding of garment construction, negotiate fabric and garment costs, research market trends, prepare product planning reports as well as detailed follow-ups to ensure deadlines are met. This lists only a general view of my extensive experience within this industry.

In an effort to expand my professional future, my recent education and career shift into the mental health industry has shown that I am willing to take on challenging new positions while utilizing my experience to further enhance my personal and professional learning experiences. Obtaining a valuable education has advanced my skills in communication, listening, providing empathy, organization, problem-solving, following codes of ethics, and research of resources involving effective treatment plans.

Whether it's counseling, designing & developing the details of a garment, accessory, or selling consumer goods and services, it's the challenge to generate practical & innovative products that peeks my analytical, creative curiosity.

As a result of a lay off in 2009 and personal detours in my life, I am priviledged to be working at a company that values customer service solutions for all heating and air conditioning needs. This family run company has embraced me with knowledge and appreciation of a business that I am novice to and has enabled me to meet my financial responsibilities.

- Arranged immediate service calls, coordinated accounts receivables, and provided basic troubleshooting issues for heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and generator clients

- Provides transportation and occupational support for a young woman experiencing physical and cognitive challenges due to a rare, neurological, degenerative disease called the Niemann-Pick Disease

Counseled women and children who have experienced domestic violence in private and group sessions in confidence.

- Produced and organized tracking reports referred to by design, sales, and production departments for efficient execution from design to delivery of goods reducing approximately 30% of work related errors
- Sourced, negotiated prices, and issued purchase orders of fabrics and trims from local and international suppliers as well as leather and suede tanneries saving approximately 20% of overall material expenses

- Reviewed and managed garment spec samples, textile prints, lab dip colors, embroidery and screen prints, trims, and quality assurance testing requirements for approval
- Continuously tracked pre-production and production stages including sample submissions meeting delivery deadlines, ensuring packaging requirements are met, and avoiding cancelled orders 
- Organized fabric library, sample library, and specification packages of all styles of past and present seasons
- Met product quality requirements of Wal-Mart, Kmart, and other large branded accounts in a timely manner
