Partnered with EB Japan & Germany men’s and women’s’ merchandising teams to commercialize their creative intent by executing fabric and trim development, garment finishes and quality assurance. • Execute the development and commercialization of unique styles through styling, pattern, color, fabric finishes, quality testing and trims with joint venture merchant teams • Monitor seasonal production process with overseas agent to ensure all garment components are commercially available to achieve design and business objectives • Managed fabric research and development for joint venture styles from sample stage through post production • Initiated CAD set up of pattern artwork execution for woven and knit styles • Maintain long lead time fabric commitment process for non-agent mills and /or joint venture tag-on orders • Handle color standard send-out log maintenance, bulk lab dip, trim and pattern approval • Monitor, evaluate and improve seasonal development performance by driving new processes to achieve efficiency and flexibility within the joint venture design and development calendar • Update information of line sheets, retain seasonal images in database for reference during following seasonal storyboards. • Drive achievement of financial goals by analyzing and evaluating initial target costing to meet markup objectives stated • Worked closely with technical design team to establish and improve graded spec blocks for men’s and women’s classifications for both Japan and Germany • Negotiated cost discounts up to 15% for programs that were not executed to EB quality standards on behalf of our global partners. • Quarterly travel to Japan to monitor, evaluate and improve seasonal development processes by driving efficiency and streamlining of product challenges
