Conduct thorough and objective preliminary employee investigations. Utilize independent judgment and best
practices in conducting investigations and recommend resolutions for management approval; supported by written
investigation summaries and reports
• Provide HR support and advisement to over 1000 union/non-union employees and Management in a fast-paced
environment with a highly diverse workforce by building relationships and developing clear impactful solutions
• Liaison to multiple union representatives to ensure Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) rules and policies are
adhered to based on respective contract requirements
• Implement HR processes and procedures such as on-boarding, offboarding, salary adjustments, payroll reporting,
organizational & classification changes
• Facilitate Respect in the Workplace, Manager Essentials and Sexual Harassment trainings

Coordinated full cycle recruiting, on-boarding and orientation process; including job requisitions, sourcing,
screening, interviewing, preparing offer letters, addendums & I/C agreements, reviewing new hire paperwork for
completion and accuracy, I-9 administration, and conducting E-Verify checks
• Administered termination processing; ensured all hours are submitted and PTO was paid out, requested final
checks, and submitted termination paperwork to payroll
• Processed all vacating employees' off-boarding, including applicable COBRA, 401(k) rollovers, and state
unemployment
• Oversaw 401(k) plan administrations; including monitoring eligibility, contribution data files, plan payments,
distributions, and loans
• Fulfilled all verifications of employment, unemployment claims, and requests from the EDD
• Resolved all front-line HR inquiries including benefits and employee handbook policy/procedure interpretation
• Produced a monthly headcount report for all freelance employees and partnered with hiring managers to ensure
timely termination and HRIS accuracy

• Conducted comprehensive reference checks for candidates pursuing full-time positions
• Performed an audit of 50 student employees and processed their terminations through the Kronos database
• Provided benefit plan support to 100+ employees and administered the annual open enrollment
• Kept employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes on a weekly basis
• Handled mailing of FMLA documents to employees on leave informing them of their work and pay status
• Formulated and maintained 15+ reports, spreadsheets, and memoranda's that are necessary to carry out the functions of the Human Resources department
