Oversee garment product development stages from design to bulk, Advise designers and buyers on technical issues, Manage the technical performance and technical standards are adhered to, Manage the garment processes during the manufacturing of product and to work on special projects within the supply base to improve quality and manage critical path, Enhance and update the existing garments through identifying and implementing relevant technology innovation, Identify customer feedback to improve product reliability and to provide specific technical and broad garment knowledge, Manage the social & ethical compliance of various vendors, Be strategic in managing vendor base to ensure the correct product is bought from the correct technically competent vendors, Work with existing vendors, local & international to develop suppliers to the required Woolworths standards, Do competitor analysis from a technical perspective working closely with fabric technologists and buyers.

Do fittings of concept sample, pre-production sample, pre-shipment sample and rail sample, Analyze size range wearer trials across different styles, Advise on garment and sewing constructions, Ensure correct sewing thread is used, Ensure correct pattern block and grading rules has been used, Advise supplier on pattern making and fabric cutting, Monitor production schedule and critical path, Ensure fit comments and amendments have been correctly applied, Monitor customer returns and analyze faults issues, Develop product specifications and technical packs with buyer and designer to ensure product meets aesthetic and technical expectations standards. Assist the Designers in Developments throughout the season, striving for innovation, researching new trends and technologies. Using technical knowledge to apply the correct finishing techniques to garments and accessories, understanding of testing requirements and QA standards.

Be responsible for a department as part of my training, Assessing fit and construction of garments by fitting on a model or mannequin, Create garment specifications guides/silhouette templates for suppliers, Analysing bulk production in stores, Wearer trial assessments, Resolving customer queries and complaints, Establishing minimum Quality standards and thereafter implementing and maintaining the standards, Liaising daily and providing technical support to buyers, designers and suppliers, Ensuring that the right product of acceptable quality is in stores for the consumer.

Remove garments with defects, Check workmanship, Check hanger appearance, Check swing tags and care instructions labels, Check loose or hanging threads and Check consistency in sizes.

Order supplies, materials and equipment, Schedule purchases and arrivals, Maintain inventory, Review and place purchase orders And Work in pastel program.

Analyse production factory, inputs vs output, improve work strategy, minimise usage of raw materials, electricity and water. Introduce quality management systems to increase production efficiency, Advise on housekeeping methods and material recycling.

Assist in product range building to meet customers' needs, Ensure garments are available for all reviews, Ensure that all red and black seals are approved, Management of samples for Marketing, In-store shoots, Online shoots as well as Sample sales, Ensure that the venue and relevant documents are prepared for reviews.
