Hello,

My name is Parker Cohn. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont last year and earned my degree in International Business. Since then, I have worked an internship in Finance in China and a temp job in Marketing in Colorado and I am currently looking for a contract or full-time position.

Last summer in China I was a Project Management Intern at Jiuyou Capital. I worked with Market Research, Strategic Analysis, and Project Management Teams on projects utilizing Microsoft Excel software as well as Primary and Secondary Research. This year, I held a Sales and Customer Service position at Incredible Wine and Spirits where I worked the cash register, maintained the store, processed purchase orders and developed email marketing campaigns. 

This summer I accepted my current temp position as a Marketing Assistant at Xcel Energy where I support different Demand Side Management (DSM) programs across Colorado, Minnesota, and New Mexico. I use Microsoft Excel and SalesForce CRM software to Coordinate and Track Retrofit Energy Efficiency Projects for non-profit businesses as well as low income single family and multifamily residences with our various third party implementers.  I also Organize Contractor Training Events, Direct Mail and Email Campaigns, Update Xcel Energy’s Web Content, Process Invoices using Portal J/Passport software, Assist in the Development of Annual Marketing Plans, and Analyze Data to track the progress of our marketing efforts in comparison to our forecasts.

Marketing is a way to shine light on products and services that need it. There are so many great ideas and opportunities to do great things in this world, and many of them go unnoticed because they do not have the attention of their target markets. If people can benefit from it, I want to show them how.
