As part of the project I developed a new test method to be used for testing raw material sheets. In order to come up with this method I had to bring the different engineering languages from mechanical engineering, materials engineering and chemistry together. Apart from the differences in engineering background each of my three supervisors had a different nationality. I was able to connect everyone on all levels and successfully developed something new, which I believe can be an important skillset to have. With my method it was possible to determine material behavior before using it in prototypes. Also the new method saved time and money whilst giving better results than the other available standard test methods.
