I have found that building teams has always driven positive behaviors, which ultimately increases performance and profits across my companies. I have often incorporated others’ perspectives, participated in conversations which contributed to streamlining processes, technological enhancements, KPI analysis and enhanced interdepartmental communication.

Start up company - Established City, State, and Federal permits, merchant services vendor agreement, insurance agreements, established automated reporting. Set up lines of credit as needed, and implemented internal controls as well as authoring policies and procedures. Manage the AP and AR – check runs, collections and insurance issues, system – implementation and improvements, month end close and ad hoc reporting.
·	Manage compensation and benefits administration, orientations, mentoring, training and development, employee relations, recruitment and retention, annual reviews, conflict resolution, workers compensation, LOA, and payroll.


Human Resources & Accounting

·	Supervised a team of 6 while overseeing business operations: general accounting, purchasing contracts, treasury & cash management reporting, bank reports, AP, AR, accounting systems, financial services, and internal controls. Successful implemented of the daily/weekly bank revolver loan request process including daily reconciliations.
·	Established a disciplined weekly supplier payment process, reducing workload and time by over 40% with an associated reduction in payment errors of 90%. Strategic partner to the CFO to improvement of the corporate accountability structure and internal control environment. 
·	Assumed all HR responsibilities upon departure of HR VP. Responsible for Corporate wide training, improvements, and development which lead to repayment of the outstanding revolver of $5 million within my first three months. 

Accounting  Treasury Human Resources 

·	Start up company - Supervised a team of 4; AR/ AP, HR generalist, project assistant and staff accountant. 
·	Accounting Duties: reconciled aged receivables, researched escalated customer inquiries and collection and project billing issues. Responsible for corporate treasury including the maintenance and operational bank accounts. Reconciled credit card and bank statements, prepared monthly and annual cash projections and budget projections. Maintained general ledger, verified bank deposits. Responsible for the monthly and year end reporting as well as the business management and strategic planning for the organization.
·	HR Duties included: payroll, compensation and benefits administration, new hire orientations, talent, mentoring, training and development, employee relations, recruitment and retention, annual reviews, conflict resolution, workers compensation, and terminations as well as facilities management.

Accounting & Human Resources 

·	One World Alliance – Legal Admin Services – Corona, CA – Converted in-house payroll to ADP workforce, created and completed employee files, conducted compensation analysis. Performed an audit of outstanding AR and AP balances. 
·	Nexant, Inc. –Oil & Energy– San Francisco, CA – Managed the Global AR, Credit and Collections for the USA, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa business units. Worked with Project Managers, Project Accountants, and Business Unit Leaders to ensure the highest level of internal and external customer service. Worked closely with IT to develop and improve reporting, accuracy and deliverables.
·	Tides – Non-Profit Organization - San Francisco, CA - Supervised a staff of 8, Accounts Payable (4) and Accounts Receivable (4).  Performed a departmental restructure, established clear job duties and departmental goals which decreased month end close from 14 days down to 4 days in the first 3 months.
·	Linksys - Manufacturing - Irvine, CA - Managed the Global AR and supervised a team of 7. Established KPI reports, mentored, coached and provided additional training as needed. Incorporated automation to achieve optimal productivity and accuracy. 
·	ITT Cannon - Manufacturing - Santa Ana, CA - Assisted with the system conversion, ensuring a 100% accurate transition. Reduced the overall DSO by 43% through coaching, training, and process improvements. 
·	Bright Now Dental - Medical Industry - Santa Ana, CA – Managed the 1st Unclaimed Property filing with all 50 State Controllers offices. Set up internal financing program and guidelines. Managed the replacement/upgrade of 750+ independent location POS terminals nationwide. 
·	HireRight - Service Industry - Irvine, CA - Responsible for the training, coaching, mentoring and further development of the department. Lead cost efficient initiatives which increased productivity by 47%, lowered the DSO by 67% and decreased entry errors by 80%. 
·	Hines - Horticulture - Irvine, CA - Managed an account base of 700+ “independent” accounts as well as assisting with the “top accounts”. Streamlined processes which lead to a decrease to the DSO of 60% which was then rolled out to the rest of the department. 

Project Manager & Special Projects

·	Supervised a team of 14. Solely managed the transition of five acquisitions (CarSmart, AIC, Autoweb, Autosite, and AVV) while managing 1,400 of the “major market accounts”, $4 million monthly, 60% of the monthly AR. 
·	Trained, coached and mentored all new hires on existing P&Ps. Managed the roll out of updates and new software training to the accounting department. Lead interdepartmental meetings to ensure proper communication at all levels of the organization. Voted “Employee of the Month” twice in December 2002 and February 2003.
