Managed the Canon clientele within the Western region of the US in all aspects of IT coordination from vision, scope, assessment, design, development, implementation, deployment and project life cycle and support with emphasis to cost reduction and efficiency. Responsible for development, publication and enforcement of standards, policies, methods, processes required for maximizing the Customer Service and effectiveness of the Canon Technology Solutions within the client organization. Proactively gathered customer enhancement requests and advocated for the customer to the Sales Management, Application Development and System Development teams.Led multiple improvement projects, including Encrypted Secure Print conversion for VISA, and Management Output Printing for Warner Bros for Cost Reduction. Technology Facilitator

Managed all aspects of the classroom training, physical setup, daily routine, student attendance, prepare attendance records and general reports as required.  Worked with vendors such as Barnes and Nobles and their regional sales manager to reduce costs on training materials for students.  Effectively managed the classroom environment including dealing with differing student needs and abilities.  Designed and developed instructional agendas, lesson plans and training materials to be taught for daily lectures using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Word.  Developed and provided a wide range of scheduling options for students.  Selected materials appropriate to student’s learning level.  Proposed and implemented a new long-term training program to be used by the City of Carson Senior Citizens Technology Center.

Computer Instructor

Performed system administration for Windows Servers and workstations.  Supported custom system software migrated into existing infrastructure including Windows 95\98, Windows Server NT\2000, and Oracle DB with legacy systems intact. Improved network integrity by implementing Windows Server OS patches, and managing McAfee virus protection update distribution during off-hours.  Led technical inventories on desktops, laptops and provided management budget plans and vendor SLAs.  Physically installed and supported network printers, computers, telecommunications equipment, terminals, peripherals on Windows servers and workstations.  Created, updated and changed Information Systems operational information, system utilization logs, Policies & Procedures and other department documentation as needed.  Implement changes and updates to the company’s Intranet and Internet by employing HTML, ASP, IIS 6.0 and SQL Server.  Administered current and new users in Active Directory.  Monitored server data backup and performed data recovery as needed.  Facilitated with creating web-based Seagate Crystal Reports on Intranet and created automated Excel reports linked to web queries for executive management.Trained multiple users in using IT Problem Management Application and facilitated with on-call escalation pages using SQL based paging tool directly linked to problem management production database.
