Co-Chair, FilAm ARTS presents Hope After Haiyan, A Benefit Dinner
Hope After Haiyan Benefit Dinner brought together Benedictine Alumni chapters all over the world to reconnect and come together to show support to the Missionary of Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica's College in Tacloban.Typhoon Haiyan leveled the school and the hospital that they run.The monastic lives of the nuns were interrupted, and many of the students displaced.
Behind all the tragedy, there is "hope". Months after the initial surge of giving and as media coverage tapered off, there was the most critical transition phase from relief to rehabilitation. It is the premise of sustaining long term rebuilding that the concept of HOPE AFTER HAIYAN was hatched.
