Creating branded content for the partnerships arm of Gear Patrol.

•Responsible for three daily stories for GrindTV.com, which include interviews, breaking news, investigative reporting, and feature stories within the nature, environmental, and outdoor sports worlds.
•Assist Senior Editor line edit stories by other writers.
•Producing two Facebook Live video stories a month.
•Produced weekly web series, “The Weekly Grind” which entailed gathering of assets, coordination with brands, writing scripts, and mapping a timeline out for the video editor before our video budget was pulled.  


Associate Editor (GrindTV)

•Developed the editorial voice and content strategy across all platforms and responsible for daily content creation and directing editorial and marketing teams. Grew website to a monthly 800k avg. unique visitors and a Webby nomination for “Best Sports Website.” 
•Responsible for newsletter and daily social media management through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. These have grown a collective 428%. 
•In charge of creating, tailoring, and coordinating all sponsored editorial content within native advertising sales program.
•Involved in original programming process and production. 
•Beta tester for the creation and continual evolution of our own content management system, Boxxspring. This requires constant monitoring, design critiques, Q&A testing, and attention to details of the website’s front and backend productivity and requirements.

Managing Editor, NetworkA.com

•Creating and executing marketing campaigns/strategies that include selecting advertising channels, designing advertisements, community relations, event creation/implementation, online social media/marketing administration (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter), and customer loyalty programs. 
•Built website and manage it on a daily basis including content creation. Also administering an effective SEO campaign that has grown the site and audience. 
•Sales floor and customer service leader who trains all employees and handles conflict resolution. Improved total sales each month for past two years. 
•Merchandiser of store and products to optimize layout and sales. 
•Work with budgets on a daily basis and a buyer for all merchandise.

Manager/Web and Creative Director

•Writing story assignments for the magazine and transworldsurf.com which required conducting research, interviewing, and coordination with photographers.
•Daily management of website’s content creation/editing and tracking website analytics via multiple platforms to find ways to grow.
•Online social media administration of Facebook and Twitter. This digital marketing strategy, along with a site relaunch and narrowed focus on SEO, drove our average page views up 402%. 
•Performed various editorial tasks such as teaching interns, fact checking, conducting research, directing photo shoots, organizing archived information/content, organizing blueline, proofreading/copy editing entire magazine, and obtaining page assets for certain departments of each issue.
•Digital Project Manager for online implementation of the first three years of the Gear Guide issue. Required coordination with web development team, designers, photographers, advertising, and various manufacturers to develop design, editorial features, product photo shoots, upload product images to CMS and manage our progress each year and fine-tuning where necessary.

Assistant Online Editor/Social Media Director

•Designed, researched, organized, and created first ever Newsstand Trend/Sales Report with analyzing numbers against top two competitors’ numbers. This report dealt with newsstand sales and how they relate to cover design/layout.
•Day-to-day management of website’s editorial content. 
•Obtaining page assets for multiple departments of each issue.

Editorial Intern

•Directing the surf section for our eight issues a year. Duties included the laying out, designing, editing, writing and assigning of stories.
•Generating interactive online content and posting it to site.
