Sample Coordinator/ Product Development

Engineering & Production

• Conduct technical evaluation of samples including but not limited to measurement of POM's to standards, weighting of materials, and review of sample to AQL standards for product classification.
• Analyze samples and solution standards and exceptions.
• Partner with merchants and vendors to resolve issues that fall outside the normal guidelines.
• Lead Merchant review meetings to approve and identify product issues.
• Facilitate feedback to Vendors and provide educated recommendations to resolve conflicts and product issues.
• Manage receipt, checkout, and disposal of samples against guidelines to ensure timely and efficient sample availability.
Partner with Merchants and vendors to manage exceptions.
• Recommend process improvements and identify problems and potential system enhancements

• Collaborate with production and sales team to manage flow of information related to purchase orders and costing.

Freelance Production Assistant

• Assist with the coordination of styles through the product development process from initial counter, pre- production and TOP samples and collaborate with the owners of these samples for seamless processing.
• Assist Sourcing Manager in the fabric and trim development processes for intimates and sleepwear depart- ments for men
and women.
• Work closely with Sourcing Manager, Design and Development throughout ongoing development process to identify
trends and fabrications to be developed by overseas sourcing partners.
• Provide direct communication and support to vendors daily and coordinate approval samples and submits
• Deliver submittals and follow up via email or in person to review comments.
• Follow up on all submits or design samples and communicates comments to overseas offices/agents
• Collaborates on fabric development to identify sourcing strategy and needs
