Polo Ralph Lauren
MENS SENIOR DESIGNER | 02/2011 - 11/2013
I manage an Associate Designer and am currently designing for the Polo Ralph Lauren line and the Polo Golf line as Men's Senior Outerwear Designer.
This includes the creating and building of concepts. Working with VP of Design to map out seasons and skus and then designing and managing skus from concept through to stock.
I work on all aspects of the garments design including trims, graphics, appliques, patches, prints, yarn dyes and embroideries and working with vendors and internal corporate partners to carry these aspects through to stock. I have lots of experience, and enjoy creating new trims especially.
I am responsible for managing fittings and giving comments to affect proper fits and hit market and customer needs. My knowledge of Pattern making and construction techniques helps me greatly in streamlining this process.
I am also responsible for maintaining the performance of existing styles and classification skus in the overall line. I enjoy partnering with Senior design and merchants, on their needs and working to hit design quality benchmarks and sell through goals.
