After a year of working at Discovery I decided to take up my passion for golf. My goal was to qualify as a professional on the local Sunshine Tour. I was lucky enough to have this decision backed by my family and felt that this was the right time to pursue my lifelong dream.
I managed to finish 22nd in an IGT (development tour) event, I played on the Big Easy tour three times through ranking invites and came 15th in my first Western Province Amateur golf championship. Unfortunately at qualifying school in March 2018 I finished 40th (out of 120 golfers) and only the top 20 golfers made it through.
I am grateful for this experience as it gave me a great deal of perspective about my career going forward. It taught me a lot about myself and how success manifests in self-discipline.

Worked as a waiter and back server at a French Restaurant called Brexi Brasseri. This was an eye-opening experience for me. I learnt a great deal about different cultures and created some long-lasting relationships. Mostly I had an amazing time adventuring and skiing on the the beautiful mountains around Aspen. This has definitely given me the itch to keep traveling.
