•	Assisted the Senior VP of Merchandise and Senior Buyer in the development and selection of decorative accessories, soft table linens, small appliances, housewares, home décor and bedding merchandise for a home linen chain that grew from 69 locations to over 300 locations nationwide from 2001 to 2015. 
•	Overseeing several Categories/Departments with annual sales volume over $70 million dollars, average GM 52%.  Assisted with increasing department sales: 2011–2012 sales increase 5.7%, GM increase 1.4%. 2013-2014 sales increase 12.5%, GM increase 1.9%.
•	Establishing professional relationships with over 50 Vendors within the textile and hard goods field. Negotiated cost of goods and annual Vendor Agreement Terms, resulting in vendor discounts, advertising rebates and freight allowance.
•	Maximizing container capacity by working creatively with overseas vendors on case pack consolidation which resulted in freight savings, and the company generating higher profit margin.
•	I am detail oriented. By organizing and saving document correspondence from vendors, regarding purchase orders/specials buys which could have resulted to be potential risks to the company, I successfully prevented many legal issues which resulted in saving the company thousands of dollars.
•	Analyzed sales performance and forecasted future sales with the Merchandise Planning Team. Implemented new and seasonal programs while maintaining current programs within the department budget as well as accomplishing the required sales goals.
•	Planning and submitting programs to be advertised in print and on TV. Based on sales analysis, purchase orders were created. To ensure timely delivery of the purchase orders, I would track domestic and direct container shipments by working with the Logistics Team to meet required arrival dates.
•	Created and prepared weekly sales reports, monitoring sales performance and current trends. Taking action on slow performing programs, processing retail markdowns which resulted in reducing inventory levels and introducing new replacement programs to fit into the company OTB plan. 
•	Instrumental in assisting with the training of 5 new Senior Buyers and 3 Merchandise Planners.

Associate Buyer

•	Processing sales and inventory weekly reports to Buyers to be reviewed during department meetings
•	Monitor performance of existing programs, make recommendations where needed
•	Working closely with buyer selecting programs for Print and TV advertising events
•	Requesting product samples from Vendors to supply to Advertising Dept. for upcoming Ad events
•	Creating work orders, coding product and placing in correct hierarchy for system reports
•	Assist category managers on vendor issues
•	Monitor OTB and review weekly PO logs with Category Manager
•	Work closely with Logistics Team on order pickup dates to maximize cubing of trucks
•	Scheduling and attending Vendor meetings to review current and new program

Assistant Buyer

•	Analyze sales trends within the business and work with buyers on business opportunities
•	Issue new weekly purchase orders to approx. 25 vendors to maintain programs. Work with Logistics and Vendors to  follow shipment of orders to ensure receipts are within the ship windows
•	Review store weeks of supply and address high or low weeks of supply of merchandise
•	Review store inventory, recommend balancing of inventory into store locations as needed
•	Ensure all store locations have appropriate inventory levels to meet sales on Advertised merchandise 2 weeks prior to break of ad.
•	Complete Ad Recap analysis weekly, share recommendations with Buyer and Manager for future Ads.
•	Processing of new purchase orders while working within the allocated OTB budget 
•	Weekly review of OTB on performance of planned sales and inventory
•	Make recommendations to Buyers regarding successful/non successful programs
•	Maintained a strong working relationship with Merchandise and Logistics Teams
