Hi, my name is Skylar, welcome to my highlight reel:

I am passionate, motivated, and a creative leader inspired by projects that help our earth. I am majoring in Fashion
Business Management at The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, specializing in Product Development and minoring
in Ethics and Sustainability, graduating May 2020.

Working for Aspen Ski & Board, I experienced all aspects of the retail environment - working the sales floor, creating
displays, e-commerce, budgets, buying and product development.

When I started realizing how much our choices are affecting the planet I felt called to do something and so I created Happy
Earth Habits. It is my Instagram Blog, where I share ways to live a more low waste lifestyle and educate my community on
the affects products have on this planet. I had to do something to help protect the places I love so much (nature).

I also work as a freelance graphic designer getting hands on experience with conscious businesses. Helping small
businesses create brand identity elements and campaign creative assets. As a keyholder at SoulCycle, I have learned how
important building community is and how important intention is behind a brand.

Created social media brand and site through Instagram to develop a platform to communicate information
and education related to earth and our environment that we live in.
- Create content, creative elements and branding to develop videos, posts, education "tidbits", habits and self help tools to give users the ability to contribute and share in an effort to become more environmentally
conscious.
- Have increased site user to 520 accounts and an average of 34.5% engagement per post over 4 months since
site launch (July 2019).
- Develop content and videos that support my focus and major at FIT, posting information to help with sustainability and fashion, connecting my current studies with relevant work experience.

Worked with clients all over the U.S. virtually to create content for their businesses. Worked with scientists,
business & lifestyle coaches and stores to create graphics that communicate information to the customer.

- Create brand identity elements and campaign creative elements, leveraging Adobe Creative Suite and design
applications to build marketing materials.
- Create content and creative strategies for social media channels and digital properties to increase
engagement and marketing efforts targeted at audiences to drive awareness.

Freelance Information/Graphic Designer

Lead Buyer for 2018/2019 and 2017/2018 season with an annual budget of $3M+ across 50+ brands and vendors, attending international wholesale trade shows and purchasing outdoor apparel, technical outerwear,
outdoor hard-goods, lifestyle apparel, and accessories.
- Managed all aspects as lead Buyer; completed 140 orders, managing vendor relations, forecasting budgets
and tracking, placing all orders within vendor systems and consolidating all vendors within order inventory
and management so•ware.
- Responsible for tracking current trends in the fashion industry and interpreting how the trends would
trickle down into the Ski and Snowboard industry. Focus on understanding the sub-cultures in the outdoor
industry and having the ability to interpret which trends with be successful with that customer and finding
opportunities to create new revenue through new products and brands.
