? Introducing new fabric technologies for brands

Fabric Technology:

? Fabric Quality Analysis, Inspections (four point system), Shade lot segregations, lab testing.
? Offer technical support and carry out analysis of fibres, Yarn, Fabric, Finishes and Wash.
? Developing fabric standards and ensuring that they are maintained to commercial standards. There is liaison with designers and buyers, to make sure that chosen fabrics meet the needs of the clients in terms of quality, performance and price.
? Color testing of fabrics and approve laboratory dips.
? Attend trend presentations, source ideas from magazines and go to yarn/fabric /garment shows for technical innovation.


Strategic Management:

? Negotiating rates with buyers and vendor by effective vendor management & evaluation to produce products at desired rates for highly competitive markets
? Supplier integration and develop a preferred vendor base with improved service levels
? Identifying gaps in competitor's portfolio and understanding market needs for advising development team to develop products required by different distributors/ brands/ regions
? Analyzing the process of manufacturing/sourcing for optimized performance.
? Planning system feasibility for optimized performance.
? Proposing a system to the management with various presentation.
? Implementing system trials and studding results of several trials till system is found feasible.

Purchase/ Production Management:
? Coordinating with other departments for material planning, procurement & ensuring continuous supply at optimum costs
? Handling sourcing through identification of alternate cost effective vendors/suppliers with an aim of procuring production & packaging materials
? Designing production plan and controlling day to day production affairs by designing production tracker to ensure timely deliveries to market
? Participating in cost calculation & reduction and resolving issues related to the production functions
? Align service level of sourcing, manufacturing, to achieve business plan.
? Provide inputs to team on OTIF improvement requirements by analyzing inward OTIF data to determine root causes for OTIF miss, identify trends for different categories and improvement areas.

•	Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas.

Product Manager – Mattresses, PCB & TOB

• Identifying and developing vendor source for achieving cost effective purchases of raw materials and reduction in delivery time.
• Coordinating with Buyers to produce Samples for their range Planning, Pre selection Meetings and Final Selection Meeting.
• To Prepare a Time and Action plan for timely flow of fabric visualizing production lead time as well as Buyer's requirement and continuous check over TNA to meet deadlines.
• To carry out sampling exercise with various vendors to ensure that developed product meet current & future needs ensuring best quality.
• Analyzing and developing vendor source for achieving cost effective purchases of raw materials along with good quality and least possible lead time
• Handling Commercial & Logistic part,

? Timely following up for BL & LR from vendors
? Following up & communicating with forwarders (Air & Sea) and logistics for timely delivery.
? Discussing with logistic department to amend the Invoices and POs' to reduce the customs duty charges

Manager - Fabric Sourcing

Key Role:
• Analyzing, commenting and communicating comments on fabrics.
• To provide technical advice, make decisions on product quality.
• Guidelines for all QA programs with manufacturers.
• Regular Visiting vendor places for follow ups, settling problems at floor level, technical / Work related advises to knitting or processing team staffs.
• Regularly visiting vendors for quality audit at their plant before the bulk is Dispatched.
• Handled the complete operations of the centralized Fabric warehouse.

Key Role:
• Managing 2 centralized Warehouses with support function of Inspections, Shade Bands & Shrinkages as per the Quality requirements.
• Identifying vendors, development of products, price negotiation, sampling, production planning, inspections, payments, etc.
• Accountable for matching & approving the Shade Bands and updating the same to Marketing, in case of required changes.
• Resolve buyer queries and issues to ensure maximum buyer satisfaction and coordinate with various departments of the company to synergize and ensure maximum productivity.
• Review reports on timely basis from factories and approvals on the same.
• Tracking & Rating the suppliers on their performance to the management on timely basis.
