Footwear Developer

Own all stages of the development process for the footwear private label division. Responsible for the creation and management of the Lulus branded footwear product range inclusive of setting seasonal strategies that drive global growth and achieve margin
targets.

•   Drive the inception of new and innovative footwear designs, components, processes and materials into manufacturable and a marketable finished product
•   Work collaboratively with Planning & Buying departments to create seasonal and marketable merchandise strategies to achieve seasonal and financial goals
•   Travel internationally to develop and maintain successful factory/vendor relationships, source material and work on projects
to ensure the values of Lulus.com are being met
•   Successfully manage the product development cycle to ensure delivery of high-quality product during seasonally
appropriate periods

Managed footwear division which includes the selection, purchase, and delivery of merchandise which adheres to the merchandise philosophy of quality, price, fashion and brand. Responsible for developing, executing and communicating product
strategies that meets or exceeds financial goals.

•   Managed style count of over 200 styles per month per category while maintaining curated assortment and profitability
•   Established seasonal strategies to meet OTB targets of over $10 million annually
•   Optimized profit margins through cost and term negotiations, markup strategies, timely reorder and minimizing markdown
rollouts
•   Built and leveraged relationships with cross-functional teams (i.e. planning, marketing, accounting, quality control and receiving) to obtain information necessary to create and execute merchandising strategies
•   Managed and developed Assistant Buyer and Purchase Order Assistant to succeed
•   Attended trade shows and vendor appointments to stay on top of market trends and select product for site
