Hi I am Thomas, I am an outdoor enthusiast with a deep passion for the outdoors and actions sports. When I am not working I do my best to get outside and surf, ski, rock climb or take pictures. I have over 5+ years of customer service experience in several different industries including retail and banking. I also have 3+ years of marketing experience in retail, event marketing, social media and advertisement. 5+ years experience as an amateur adventure photographer specializing in landscape, travel, action sports and product photography.

In charge of running and maintaining the customer service and returns department as well as store marketing for the Costa Mesa stores. 

Contribute to the success of REI by maintaining a working knowledge of REI products and services, and use this knowledge to sell products, services, and memberships to REI customers. Assist in keeping up store visual standards and keeping the floor stocked with merchandise. Work with fellow employees and managers to provide the best customer experience and outfit a person for a life outdoors

Retail Sales Specalist 

Developed strategic plans for ACCU's website and online presence. In charge of maintaining the website and making sure it was up to date. Lead event photographer and videographer for media, press release, and web content. Updated and maintained contact information in distribution databases. Managed social media content planning, writing, and distribution. Increased social media following and engagement by over 500% within 3 months. Managed all E-blast and email marketing. In charge of analyzing effectiveness of E-blast, web content, and ads; used this information to adjust marketing efforts and segment target groups. Saw a 10% growth in open rates and 5% increase in click through rates while in charge. 


Creative Content & Research Specialist 

Was the first line of service for ACCU members. Answered member questions and needs. Attended to online messages from the online banking channel and distributing them to the correct department. Transferred funds, processed wire transfers, and approved accounts. Member of the ACCU’s sales team; responsible for opening 15 accounts per month. Helped IT department solve customer issues.  


Member Development Specialist 

Provided members and guests with the best possible service while outfitting them for a lifetime of adventures in the outdoors. Processed all returned items and special orders, operated cash register, and upheld REI 100% satisfaction guarantee. Attended to all questions and concerns while upholding REI’s mission statement. 


Customer Service Representative

Signed for all incoming facility/student mail and campus freight. Sorted and delivered over 300 individual packages a day. Addressed and resolved client concerns involving missing packages or damaged goods. Responsible for ensuring all mail was delivered in a timely and professional manner.
