My name is Tiera Salitros, and I am a graphic designer from the Midwest. I recently graduated from Iowa State University in early May, spent a month designing and volunteering in Uganda, Africa and now I am back in America and excited to begin my career as a graphic designer. I believe that my education has enabled me to gain the skill set needed to succeed in the industry. Not only am I passionate about my field of study, but as a creative inspired by the natural world, the outdoors are at the center of everything I do and hope to do in my work. 

Given my previous experience from my past internships and freelance work, I have the ability to understand the meaning of successful design and inter workings of the fast paced agency life. Through these experiences I have learned to prioritize workloads and coordinate multiple ongoing projects while working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. My transparent communication skills, knowledge of design, extreme passion for the outdoors, and desire to learn make me the best candidate for the a creative position.

Developed unique, artistic elements to benefit brand while fitting within current standards of the company. Aided in brainstorming and photography concepts to increase general sales of products.

Graphic Designer/ Photographer

Created a new logo and design system to help their company sell in the Western market. Created a website featuring their products and a bio of each woman of the Tusubila Crafts group. Hosted a workshop on color theory and basic design principles for 75+ students and women of the Tusubila Grafts Group. 

Graphic Designer/ Web Designer

Branded the business. Design for various clients, including Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, Career Tree Network, Everything Homes of Iowa, and Iowa Communications Alliance.

Freelance Graphic Designer

Design print promotional materials including posters, digital displays, brochures, and infographics for 950+ clubs and events across campus. Interpret work orders to complete by specified deadlines.

Graphic Designer

Created a weekly blog update on my travels throughout Europe featured on Iowa State University’s webpage. Submitted photographs weekly for social media use.

Social Media Intern

Worked closely with the creative team and production managers to effectively
meet client needs. Work included package design, brand development, photo shoot direction, marketing collateral, and point of sale and digital marketing for Hy-vee.
