My name is Tierra Bernal. I have my B.S. in Apparel Merchandising and Management from California Polytechnic State University with a background in Retail. I am knowledgeable in Retail Math and have taken two buying courses. I have also been able to work with a company called AM4U Inc. as a Product Developer while in school, as well as, be a Finance Coordinator and Buyer for ApparelScapes - a on campus Boutique at Cal Poly Pomona.

I have been awarded many achievements while in school. This includes the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, as well as, Global Who’s Who and being on the Dean’s List.

• Keeps project tracking documents updated weekly for assigned projects
• Responsible for design, development and execution of new products in assigned categories including packaging
• Communicates with overseas vendors and licensed brands on a daily basis
• Negotiate favorable payment terms and pricing with vendors
• Track and ship packages to brands, international accounts and vendors
• Responsible for the management of assigned categories meeting
• Assist in checking and ensuring all tech packs are readable to send to factories from licensed brands
• Multi-task daily to deal with deadline pressures and ensure timely execution of critical calendar dates across all
assigned brands
• Work with internal QC teams to test product to ensure it meets standards
• Travel overseas to assist in product development at factories
• Help train new employees on product (materials and processes)
• Manage key brands such as Kate Spade, Under Armous, Kendall + Kylie and Ri e Paper
• Develop and manage over 300 skus across multiple product categories (cases, stickers, key charms, cables and etc.)

• Directed kid’s line from initial concept to mass production
• Reviews and records wear test to indicate and improve issues
• Daily follow up with overseas factories
• Follow through on Strike-o  and Sample Approvals
• Ensure all materials/prints and patterns are input correctly in FlexPLM
• Assist with changes to color CADs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

• Research upcoming trends, colors and patterns
• Assisted with the  t and construction from initial concept to production (Men’s, and Women’s product line)
**Work with other Deckers Brands, such as Teva, to ensure deadlines are being met by creating Bill of Materials (BOMS) in FlexPLM and updating tech packs to send to overseas vendors

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR - Sanuk

Find potential vendors to work with the Boutique. Create Mark-downs. Do inventory checks every week. Keep track of all financial reports. Analyze weekly and monthly data. Make purchase orders. Obtain Consignees and keep track of all consignments. Analyze best which products are the best selling. Check merchandise in and out of the warehouse. Create tables and graphs to easily explain financials to other managers.

Buyer and Finance Coordinator

Set up and maintain all style information per season (style names/numbers, color codes, style descriptions, deliveries and wholesale/retails)
Create and maintain accurate presentation pages and visual line plans.
Provide critical reporting of current business. (Reports of selling trends by season and classification including color, silhouette, fashion, basics, etc)
Audit all techpacks with designer before sending to vendors/factories
Establish Sample PO’s in Full Circle for vendors and accounting purposes
Develop a sample wip in order to have complete awareness of all samples arriving in LJG

Catalog layout and edits
Build Management and Sales Meeting collateral as needed

Merchandiser, O'Neill
