From the bottom of the world, I was raised in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, where the outdoors, adventure and close community have always been a driving force in my life, and career.  Protecting our natural playground is what motivates me to continuously seek to create purposeful design, with companies who have an environmentally conscious lens. 

Working in-house and as a freelancer for the last 8+ years has allowed me to develop a multifaceted skill-set – from illustration, to art direction; apparel print design to production; copy writing to content creation; photography to branding. 

I’m a self-motivated, creative problem solver who thrives working collaboratively within a team of likeminded outdoor aficionados. I have over 5 years experience working in the outdoor industry, specialising in apparel print design, and creative direction.

For the past 6 years I've worked as a freelance creative specialising in branding, illustration, apparel print design, creative strategy, artistic direction, production, copywriting, photography, photo & video editing, signage, labels/packaging, visual storyboarding, voiceover & radio, props and art department for film and animation.

Within this role I worked closely with the Marketing Lead to generate campaigns, creative concepts for key product launches and assisted with creative direction for campaign video productions, including things like treatment, script writing and props. I lead all external creative copywriting, including seasonal campaign slogans, garment descriptions, technical call-outs, product names, press releases, blogs and EDMs and assisted on graphic design for digital POS and organic social channels. 

I've additionally worked externally with Mons Royale over the past 2 years, as a freelance artist, designing and developing seasonal apparel print designs.

Lead Copywriter / Design & Communications (9 month contract) 

As creative lead for Cardrona and Treble Cones apparel, merchandise, homewares and accessories range across three physical stores and our online commerce platform my role included generating concepts and creating seasonal mood boards and collection concepts for seasonal drops, including ordering and sourcing garments, accessories and homewares, liaising with suppliers, craftsmen, external artists, printers, and direct partners (designing collaboration garments with Icebreaker, POW Gloves, Huffer, Mons Royale and Dharco), finalising artwork, prepping artwork for print, reviewing colours, materials, samples and strike-offs, preparing apparel and merchandise for our e-commerce platforms, organising studio shoots, photography, photo editing and clearcutting, creative copy for ecommerce and social channels, designing all front-end Shopify POS and print advertisement, creating and curating content for social channels. 

Creative Lead – Apparel and Merchandise

As the in-house apparel print designer and graphic designer/producer for creative content, I lead creative direction and design for all seasonal mens, womens and kids apparel collections for our three retail stores and e-commerce platform, and was across the design of event posters, web banners, digital and print advertisements, tear-drop flags, stickers, pins, menus, signage, way-finding and photography. I led production of visual and copywriting content for Cardrona and Treble Cone social media channels, including art direction for seasonal campaigns across video, print and social. I was also the voice of weekly live radio crosses for BFM, and local radio advertisements.

Apparel Print Designer and Creative Content Producer & Graphic Designer

A seasonal contract as Thredbo Resorts in-house graphic designer and digital content producer and copywriter. Within this role I took the lead on all event design and promotions, copywriting, merchandise and apparel design, POS collateral, video production and radio and TV communications, including live crosses.

Designer, Digital Content Producer, Copywriter (Winter Contract) 

Working within team NASA, I was responsible for recognising start-up business within the AU/NZ market, building relationships and onboarding them onto our emerging business ad-words program.

Contributed over $130K in referred revenue to the NASA team in Q1 - touching approximately 50% of NASA team's revenue in the quarter (Global average of revenue contribution for an entire team is only around 30%)
