Director of Sales | Driving Retail Growth with Strategic Sales Leadership | Multi-channel Key Account Sales Manager

I have worked in sales in the Action Sports Industry for over 20 years.

I have had the great opportunity to work for amazing brands such as Oakley, Reef, and Stance. I have experience in managing large scale and key accounts as well as sales management covering the entire US. I have managed key independent accounts, national chain retailers, off-price retailers, the military channel, and league licensed retailers. I have had the opportunity to sell product in the several categories such as: footwear, sporting goods, sports licensing, bike, golf, surf, snow, fashion, run, motocross, outdoor, and skate. 

Managing $5m territory, 20 person sales team, and 3 in-house sales reps, growing the business by 20%. Successfully rebuilt retail strategy to align with supply chain and retail timelines. Established seasonal pre-book program to increase higher gross margins. Responsible for growth and ownership of Retail’s P&L. Collaborate with CEO to execute Retail’s go-to-market strategy. Managing corporate key accounts that include: DSG, Fanatics, Target, Costco, TJX, and Ross. Experience with many CRM platforms to drive strategic decision-making, streamline sales processes, and enhance customer relationships.

Director of Sales

Built consumer facing website and e-commerce platform. Responsible for 95% of the companies sales. Developed policy and procedures.

Co-Owner

Managed sales reps covering several business channels that included:  Sports Licensing, Off-price, Amazon 3p Partners, National accounts, Military accounts, and key independents.  National accounts included: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Lids, Fanatics, Foot Locker, Foot Action.  Off price accounts included:  TJX, Ross, and Nordstrom Rack. Military Accounts included:  AAFES, Coast Guard, Nexcom, and Marines.

Senior Sales Director - Sports Licensing/Off-Price/Military/East Coast (National and Independent)

Managed all off-price accounts including Ross Stores, Burlington, Marshall’s TJX, and Nordstrom Rack.  In addition, managed all military accounts that included AAFES, Nexcom, Marines, and Coast Guard.  Business Development responsibilities included cultivating tactical product for the first responder channel.  Business Development responsibilities also included managing business to business product channel.

Sales Director - Off-price channel/Military/Business Development

Managed sales with key strategic business partners that included:  Tillys, Pacific Sunwear, Nordstrom, Amazon, Zumiez, REI, and Buckle.  Increased the business with the key partners by 250% in 2 years and established all door penetration.

Key Account Sales Director

Managed and developed strong partnerships with strategic retail accounts to maximize sales and increase brand visibility.  Managed $24.5 million in sales with national department accounts that include: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillards, FlipFlopShops, Macys, Nordstrom, The Sports Authority, VonMaur, and Zumiez.

National Account Sales Manager

Managed sales and customer service representatives in domestic territory, which included the West Coast, Mid West, and Caribbean.  Managed nearly ½ of company’s revenue, which also included managing 25 sales reps and 3 customer service reps. Expanded distribution channel including national and specialty retail accounts.  Cultivated eCommerce affiliate programs.  Restructured sales force, developed new sales analysis metrics and coached sales representatives to improve over all sales performance. Built relationships with key specialty accounts which included REI, Jack’s Surfboards, Pacific Sunwear, Tillys, Sport Chalet, Zappos, and Journeys.

Regional Sales Manager

Managed $7 million territory in Eyewear, which included 7 sales representatives in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Central California, Indiana, and Michigan.  Responsibilities included:  Maximizing sales, building relationships with key accounts, merchandising and marketing product at retail, ensuring salesmanship of brand and product, territory and product sales analysis.  Achieved double digit increase in sales annually for 3 years, managed inaugural launch of footwear and apparel, contributed to sales analysis metrics, and acquired key territory responsibility within first year of employment.
