I’ve always believed that innovation isn’t just about making better products—it’s about rethinking how we connect with people. When I worked on the Levo Virtual Store Prototype, I wasn’t just supporting a marketing campaign but testing the future. 

Like many others, the cycling industry relies on well-established channels—retail stores, e-commerce, and traditional ads. But I’ve never settled for what’s already been done. I wanted to explore what’s next. What if there was a way to create an immersive digital experience beyond just showcasing a bike and actually pulling people into the world of riding it? 

The Levo Virtual Store was a prototype, an experiment designed to challenge how we introduce people to new products. I was happy that Riders and enthusiasts didn’t just see it as a cool tool—they saw potential. 

That experience reinforced my belief that sticking to traditional channels is a limitation, not a strategy. 

The brands and creators who push beyond the expected shape what comes next. Whether virtual stores, augmented reality, or AI-driven experiences, the future belongs to those willing to build it. 
The only question is: are we ready to embrace it?

Specialized's new store in Fulton Market, Chicago, marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the area. Having been closely involved with the USA team and I had the opportunity to contribute as part of the global team with environmental design and Visual Merchandising direction. Collaborating closely with DK Architects, who spearheaded the general design, we aimed to create a captivating space that embodies the essence of Specialized's brand identity while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

Our focus was to ensure that the store seamlessly blended aesthetics with functionality. By carefully considering the layout, placement of displays, and overall flow, we aimed to create an inviting atmosphere for customers. The goal was to showcase Specialized's range of products and convey the brand's commitment to innovation and quality. Through meticulous attention to detail in environmental design and Visual Merchandising, we strived to create an environment that would inspire and engage Riders, encouraging them to explore the world of Specialized.

It was a pleasure to be part of a team that shared a passion for creating a space that not only reflected Specialized's values but also resonated with the local community. 
Overall, the new Specialized store in Fulton Market, Chicago, represents a significant achievement as the first o retail environments of its kind in the area. 

With over 15 years of experience in the retail industry, I am a global leader of retail design and visual merchandising at Specialized Bicycle Components, a world-renowned manufacturer of high-performance bicycles and cycling equipment. I have a certificate in organizational leadership from Stanford University and a mini MBA in brand management from Marketing Week.

My expertise in deploying virtual stores and virtual environments has allowed me to stay at the forefront of retail technology, helping to bring traditional brick-and-mortar stores into the digital age. I lead a global team to design and develop the most compelling rider experience across different channels, store environments, visual merchandising, retail marketing, and direct to consumer packaging. I am passionate about leveraging my knowledge and skills to help retailers create immersive and effective retail design strategies that engage customers and drive sales. I am also committed to building high-performance teams focused on results, collaboration, and openness.
