Wess Abruzzo is a versatile packaging designer, known for his exceptional creative prowess and ability to craft visually stunning packaging solutions. Throughout his journey in the world of design, Wess has showcased an unwavering dedication to artistic excellence. 

Education and Early Career:
Wess' journey in design began at  Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York. Graduating with an Associate in Applied Science in Communication Design from the same renowned institution in May 2011, he laid the foundation for his artistic pursuits. Fueling his passion for design, he furthered his accomplishments, graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Packaging Design in May 2013. During his time at FIT, Wess developed a keen eye for detail and an innate talent for creating awe-inspiring visuals.

Professional Growth and Artistic Exploration:
In January 2013, Wess set his sights on Manhattan, New York, where he embraced the role of a Packaging Designer at Spring Design Partners. During this pivotal chapter of his career, he seamlessly merged functionality with aesthetics, breathing life into brands through captivating packaging designs working with major CPG brands including Mondelez brands such as Ritz, and Oreo.

Fueled by a relentless drive for artistic freedom, Wess ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, establishing himself as a freelance Graphic and Web Designer in San Diego, California, in June 2016. This bold move allowed him to explore boundless creative territories, offering designs that resonated with clients' unique visions. Complementing his design expertise, Wess pursued and earned certification in Front End Web Development from San Diego Continuing Education in January 2020, further expanding his creative horizons.

Wess' design journey reached new heights when he ventured into the cannabis industry as a Packaging and Graphic Designer at Kushagram and later at Mohave Cannabis Co. Through his imaginative packaging designs and visually striking graphics, he conveyed the essence of the brands, captivating customers and solidifying his reputation as a designer with an extraordinary flair.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Wess' passion for illustration, drawing, and physical packaging mock-ups continues to be the driving force behind his remarkable designs. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and an expert in various web design tools, including HTML, CSS/SASS, Bootstrap, Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress, he creates exceptional visual experiences across digital platforms.
