Xiong Bao: in MESA, AZ

- Designed and fabricated a helical twisting, contracting, and bending fabric soft continuum actuator. - Performed payload tests on Instron machine and mobility tests by MOCAP system. To verify the influence of various parameters, conducted a total of 18 tests. - Gathered, arranged and corrected research data to create representative graphs and charts highlighting results for presentations. - Devised a high DOF robotic arm based on this actuator. - Customized a control system and a user interface of the arm, coded in Python.

- Solved the equation of motion, coded PD controller by MATLAB based on these equations, and manually tuned the gains to reach the desired output. - Developed a 4th order trajectory generator, which takes certain points that quadrotor must pass by as inputs and outputs a smooth desired trajectory. Robotic arm package development with MATLAB. Spring 2020 - Established a robotics package in MATLAB which can output information represents manipulator dynamics and manipulator PD control base on user inputs. - Composed an GUI that users can input information of 2-6 links robotic arm.

- Introduced features and prices of 100+ products from 4 partner companies to 1000+ visitors. - Obtained contact information from 200+ potential customers and conducted follow-up email exchanges with them. Academic Project

Implemented tasks in multiple manufacturing positions. Including operating CNC machine, assembling product parts, and transporting materials. - Inspected the CNC processed mold manually and with coordinate measuring machine, no unqualified modules record during the whole internship period.
