A current professional in the apparel industry, Zoya strives to progress in her field. Having experience in product development, design and production, she holds a diverse skill set and wishes to continue her learning. She is a recent graduate from FIDM and has a Bachelors in Business Management as well as an A.A. in Merchandise Product Development and an Advanced A.A. in International Merchandising and Product Development.

-Created product for an international apparel line based in Karachi focusing on ready to wear, evening wear, and bridal 
-Initiated the technical design process for each article being created 
-Partnered with artisans and vendors to create embroideries and new dying techniques 

-Developes seasonal lines for Carhartt Inc. and United Airlines including trend research, lab dips, S/Os, protos, pre-production and production
-Initiates complete development process on a new acquired account with a line set to launch this year
-Assembled costing for Carhartt Inc and private label brands in partnership with upper management

Product Developer

-Communicates with factories to ensure all deadlines on sample and proto development 
-Works on CADS and sketching for new collections 
-Completes construction for all new proto developments 
-Handles all artwork and print development for upcoming collections

Assistant Designer

-Share what my FIDM experience is in order for current and prospective students to connect and form a FIDM family 
-Promote FIDM events in order to have students participate and enjoy their FIDM journey thoroughly

Social Ambassador

-Initiated multi platform marketing utilizing all social media channels 
-Created new content for brand marketing on all social media platforms on a weekly basis 
-Introduced new marketing strategies to increase online presence and enrollment rates

Social Media Consultant 

-Responsible for designing and producing garments for a Fortune 50 company
-Sourced 20 materials from 2 countries for 3 garments while developing a production strategy
-Conducted trend research and predicted colors and themes for their future Spring collection releasing worldwide 

Product Development Intern

-Assembled and delivered 5 Tech Packs to the Technical Designer per week 
-Worked with 8 fabric and trim vendors to source 25+ materials for 3 upcoming collections 
-Met with 6 buyers to sell line and to create 5-10 new styles catering to the consumer’s needs

Design Assistant

-Worked with a 4 person Product Development team to source and maintain relationships with 5 Chinese factories
-Conducted quality checks and worked with 3 designers to review 10-15 incoming samples a week 
-Assembled 2 color charts and 2 fabric stories a month for future collections
