Life Rolls On Foundation
About
Founded in 1999, Life Rolls On is dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury (SCI). Utilizing action sports as a platform to push the bounds of possibility after SCI, Life Rolls On produces quality of life programming, raises awareness about spinal cord injury and funds research to find a cure.
Because of its outstanding work and strong ties to the sports and entertainment communities, LRO has been profiled in national print, television and radio, including: Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, Los Angeles Times, People, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, ESPN the Magazine, Fuel-TV and others. For three years, Life Rolls On was recorded as the #1 charity on MySpace.com and continues to be one of the most popular non-profit organizations on the site. In 2007, the organization won its first EMMY® nomination for “Best National Public Service Announcement.” Soon-to-be-released is “Jesse’s Story,” a documentary profiling the extraordinary life of Life Rolls On Founder Jesse Billauer.
