Job Title: Associate Recruiter - Reno

General Summary
As Patagonia’s Associate Recruiter, you will collaborate with leaders across our Reno campus to support on all phases of robust recruitment and equitable hiring for entry level positions in our distribution center and our Customer Service team. You will coordinate recruitment and hiring to bring talented employees to contribute the skills, work experience, and backgrounds we need to Save Our Home Planet. With hiring managers, you will ensure our hiring practices are fair, consistent, transparent, and that we prepare candidates for their new role and introduce them to the values and culture we have at Patagonia.

What You’ll Do
Recruiting
Collaborate with recruiting team, P&C Business Partners and hiring managers to:
Anticipate and plan for the staffing needs of specific departments and teams.

Manage all phases of through recruiting processes.

Provide an exemplary candidate experience for both internal and external candidates throughout the full recruiting process.


Continuously expand proactive recruitment and intentional advertising strategies to bring the most talented candidates to Patagonia and build relationships with key networks and organizations.


Hiring Process Coordination

Hiring Approval and Planning
Work with hiring managers and hiring committees to finalize job descriptions, obtain approvals, and create hiring plans.

Ensure the must-have qualifications are explicit and translated into criteria for each phase of candidate selection including questions for phone screens, interviews, and references.

Determine best hiring processes i.e.: one day hiring events, group interviews or one on one interviews that will best support the process, the business and candidates.


Recruitment and Advertising
Manage and continuously expand Patagonia’s recruitment database.

Partner with each hiring manager and hiring committee on their recruitment activities based on specifics of their position.

Identify, engage, and recruit talented candidates.


Candidate Selection
Manage candidate engagement, communications, and their experience throughout the selection process, working closely with the hiring manager.

Provide guidance to the hiring manager and interview panelists to ensure equity, consistency, and transparency in the candidate selection process and adherence to decision making based on must-have qualifications.

Review resumes, conduct phone screens, facilitate interviews, and conduct site tours for candidates.


Follow Up and Debrief
Solicit input and feedback on the hiring process to help manage the decline process to candidates.


Coordination
Coordinate interview scheduling for candidates.

Coordinate travel logistics for candidates when needed.

Ensure hiring team is successfully equipped to support the interview process through strategic scheduling and preparation for interviews.

Contact new employees in preparation for onboarding training. Work with cross functional partners to ensure seamless onboarding.


Tracking
Develop and maintain recruiting tools including, but not limited to: Workday, Smartsheets, Qualtrics, LinkedIn, and SharePoint.

Responsible for managing and maintaining Workday ATS including but not limited to:
Track and manage all hires

Create offer letters

Post all open positions- both externally and internally through Workday

Onboarding new employees into Workday

Update employee information in HRIS system as needed

Run recruiting reports when needed


Track metrics to assess recruitment performance.

Evaluate existing suite of tools and integrations and identify areas for automation and improvement.

Experience You Bring
2-3 years’ experience supporting, leading or managing an interview process for entry level positions ideally within a warehouse or customer service team.

Experience drafting job descriptions and translate must-have qualifications into interview questions, candidate exercises, and other assessments. 

Experience hiring for numerous vacancies, simultaneously, in an extremely competitive labor market.

Exemplary track record of organizational skills, initiative, conscientiousness, and follow-through.

Excellent attention to detail.

Proven experience streamlining processes to enhance efficiencies.

Experience with managing projects from start to finish.

Demonstrated emotional intelligence, humility, cultural competence, feedback skills, and the ability to sustain trusted relationships with a wide array of people.  

The highest ethical standards and discretion.

Flexibility and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while exercising effective judgment in challenging situations and remaining calm under pressure.

Working knowledge of employment law, state and federal rules and regulations and their applications in all work products.

Experience working with Workday, Qualtrics, Smartsheet, LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Collaboration and partnering experience.


Pay range: $55,440 - $83,160
Hiring range: $65,000 - $70,000
At Patagonia, pay ranges are set using the best available market data for the job at the required location. To determine salary for a candidate, we consider the candidate’s skills and capabilities for the job compared with expectations for the position.
