Vulcan Technical

Design and Test Engineer | 10/2016 - Current

Vulcan Technical is my startup company. We are a small scale engineering products company. Primarily we build custom, steel hardtail mountain bikes to exacting ergonomic standards. Each bike is hand built using proprietary algorithms to fit the anatomical measurements of each rider. In addition frames can be optioned to include proprietary, failure resistant, travel junctions that have been developed and tested in house. Additionally, we are working to design a "Soft Stop" retractable dog leash.

Independent Research Contractor | 01/2013 - 05/2015

Worked to design and build test hardware for the research that became my master's thesis. I also developed and implemented novel data capture and analysis systems that were used in the research. In my time as a research contractor I completed 5 research projects examining the interface forces between a rider and their bike as well as examining the external weight distribution of both professional and amateur riders. This information was used to improve current product lines as well as generate new ones.
