www.dioscvri.com Having worked in the apparel and home goods industries, I wanted to bring a vision of my own to life. Art Directing every aspect of the business: from design (concept, aesthetic, Creative Direction) to sourcing (a lot of research on sustainability, qualities, performance...) to delivery and production dates to bring to life one of a kind, timeless, premium quality items. – Seasonal concepting, trend research and mood board creation. – Creation of a collection across different mediums that feels modern and coherent. – Sourcing, developing and producing every single product with incredible attention to detail. – Creating technical specs and working closely with manufacturing to assure perfect outcome. – Sourcing fabrics, labels, trims, paper, mailers, etc. – Digital design and product photography for use on social media and website. – Designing hang tags, business cards and printed collateral for fairs, pop ups, etc. – Hand block printing fabric (both yardage and placed graphics) and paper. Occasionally digitizing assets to expand the product range. - Self-taught block printing. – Pricing, cost, banking, legal paperwork and all the behind the scenes work to make an LLC function properly. – Time management in order to be able to execute this vision as well as maintaining freelance and consulting jobs. Sold a print to a well established fabric & wallpaper company - confidential until released.

www.anna-martinez.com With over 15 years of experience in multiple design areas including packaging, retail signage and apparel design & development, I offer consulting services as well as hands-on help to a variety of companies. - Help guide and advise smaller companies about product development, production, printing techniques and overall general practices. - Design seasonal color palettes that align with current trends. - Design mood boards that reflect the company values and help form the Creative Direction. - Research and present trend. - Propose print direction & illustrate all prints by hand. - Speak with suppliers to ensure optimal production outcome/ timeline objectives, etc. Often I'm hired to create illustrations for a variety of applications. Some examples include: - Illustrated 3 of 2021's Nobel Prize in Literature Abdulrazak Gurnah's book covers for Penguin Random House published in Spanish for Spain & Latin America. - Ongoing illustrations for PMI, a company that creates all merchandise for Starbucks. - Illustrated t-shirt graphics for Mountain Hardwear SS21 campaign. - Featured as an artist on Dribbble.com with an interview and commissioned to create an illustration for a handkerchief to be featured on their Web Shop Refresh. The North Face is an apparel company with a heavy focus on the outdoors. As a lead print designer for the Sportswear category, my responsibilities consisted of: – Leading seasonal print direction for the Sportswear category. – Creating and developing prints for both men's and women's garments from concept to final product. – Successfully managing multiple projects at once by developing prints for other categories with different deadlines including equipment, accessories, and logowear. – Develop seasonal color palettes and concepts for the Sportswear category alongside the Design Director. – Connecting with other departments to make sure merchandising and design needs are met and are consistent across the brand. – Creating accurate technical specifications ready for production. – Traveled to mills to review strike offs. – Help the Logowear category with creating placed graphics for apparel and accessories. One of my graphics was so successful, the graphic formula is still used today (florals intertwined with logo).

I was employed in the Textile department designing graphics for Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Bed & Bath and Williams–Sonoma. My responsibilities consisted of the following: – Designed graphics, prints and patterns for several of the Williams–Sonoma brands that could be applied to multiple products such as pillows, plates, cosmetic bags, sheets, etc., with close attention to details and layout. – Strong typography work as well as hand lettering and calligraphy. – Modified purchased prints to meet production specifications. – Created accurate technical specifications for production. – Successfully delivered work on time in a highly demanding, fast–paced environment.

FTC is a skateboarding shop from San Francisco with locations in Sacramento, Tokyo and Barcelona. Founded in 1986, it has become a global brand with a worldwide recognition within the skateboarding community. My responsibilities consisted of building up the store’s image coherently to transmit the values of the original store which are very deeply rooted in the origins of skateboarding in San Francisco in the late 80’s – early 90’s. – Store branding and style guide. Defined an image for the store and applied it in a coherent way to build a successful brand image. – Branding applied to business cards, promotional flyers, posters and advertising to reinforce the brand image. – Brainstormed and designed seasonal marketing campaigns.
