an 85-year old non-profit organization, provides a broad range of manufacturing and support
services. The largest employer utilizing a blind and vision impaired workforce in Northern Texas, the Lighthouse
manufactures government and civilian products specializing in textiles, injection molding, assembly operations, writing instruments, welded and formed polymer product manufacturing. It operates a fulfillment and distribution
business, call center and digital marketing services. Generating over $20M in sales with 250 employees based at 3
locations in DFW metroplex.

Position reported to Director of Operations and Services:
- Overseeing all daily operations of cutting, sewing and R&D (65 skilled garment artisans) to ensure
policies and procedures are followed, production goals and timelines are achieved
- Direct and supervise the process engineering activities such as layout arrangement, process
timing and R&D projects
- Designed and launched 5 new production lines (women's fashion, sportswear, drapery, tactical
apparel and non-apparel products) increased product variety by over 100 new SKUs
- Implementing strategies in alignment with CI principals to optimize production cost and increase
productivity capacity (improved TAKT time, implemented new traceability system, increased
marker efficiency, decreased defective rates)
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilized assets to produce optimal results through intensive cross training programs for 90% of sewing resources
