Multi-skill Rotational Engineer | 07/2017 - 09/2018
The Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program (ECFP) is a two-year, engineering leadership development rotation program for new college hires. The program is intended to provide exposure to different business units within Boeing, as well as experience in engineering positions across the product life cycle, while also helping to develop and accelerate participants' leadership skills.
Rotation 3 (current): Design engineer for the for a rapid prototyping group that specializes in
the development of shop aids, tooling, and flight parts utilizing rapid manufacturing techniques. In this role, I own the design from conceptualization to delivery, including modeling, file preparation, and fabrication. Fused deposition modeling is the primary, but not the only, manufacturing technique utilized. I also am leading an initiative to track and facilitate predictive machine maintenance and project status data for the team. Additionally, I still serve as a technical focal for strategy development and implementation for BGS Additive Manufacturing.
Rotation 2: Additive Manufacturing Lead Integrator and Engineer for Boeing Global Services defense spares engineering. My mission is to effectively integrate and develop AM technology to reduce lead time and production cost for short run spare parts and tooling. I am responsible for identifying, evaluating, and producing legacy parts and tools utilizing additive manufacturing processes (metallic and polymer) when appropriate. I am also a technical focal for the BGS Additive Manufacturing strategy development team.
Rotation 1: Quality Engineer for the 777X Production program. I was responsible for building and first article inspection plans for all detail parts for composite control surfaces (fixed leading edge, movable trailing edge, aileron, rudder, and elevator). I also led root cause corrective actions against nonconformances found during part inspection, audit, or assembly.
