Staff Development • Oversee the personal and professional development of 12 staff members. • Create and execute team-building activities to foster staff confidence and determination. • Plan and organize staff events to create cohesiveness among staff, resulting in a more effective working environment. Relationship Building • Keep in regular contact with parents of campers who needed special attention. • Meet with parents at the end of our semester to give them a final report of the progress of their child. • Brainstorm with other unit directors weekly on how to foster a more effective workplace. Duties • Oversee the emotional and physical well being of all campers and staff. • Edit weekly progress reports on 60 campers, which then get sent to parents. • Oversee hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, and horseback trips in Rocky Mountain National Park and The Indian Peaks Wilderness. Noted Achievements • Increased return rate of campers by 20% over one year by providing a superior quality experience. • Created and facilitated a Fly Fishing program for our campers by purchasing merchandise and organizing trips. • Attended seminars by Dr. Bob Ditter, a leading child psychologist and life coach.
