Caitlin Mulkey: Customer Care in Surprise, AZ

- Pheonix AZ • I began working as a customer care agent to gain experience and grow professionally. • My duties include answering phone calls, advising members of their benefits and payment history, and also taking payments to update the account. Primarily I work on assisting members with maintenance of their accounts. I also work with the members who are going through hardships and will lapse previously missed payments and then bring them to date with their payments. This job requires attention to detail, multitasking and managing multiple windows in the program while changing through the pages.

• I began working as a caregiver at the CLC during my last semester of college at West Texas A&M in order to better support myself and my daughter before returning to Arizona • My responsibilities included caring for infants and toddlers ranging from six months to two and a half years old • I would have multiple children to care for at any given time; therefore, would juggle holding the hand of one baby, rocking another, and assisting a third baby with a bottle in older to meet the needs of all the children as they needed it • With all the caretaking required of me at any given time, I was also required to log all the information with as much detail as possible into the app to provide the parents with updates on their children's day.

• I began working as a sacker when I was fifteen years old and remained in that position until I turned sixteen years old in August of 2017 • In this position I would handle the customers products, and transport them to their vehicle, while also maintaining a constant conversation with the customer • I then began working as a cashier in September and then began working maintenance(janitor) soon after • In the cashier position I would handle the products and their money, provide them with details into their rewards account they held with us • In my position in maintenance, would clean the restrooms, keep the store floor clean, and empty all the trash on the premises • I then worked in any position I was needed for the remainder of my time working there • Some of my other duties included providing information to customers, directing them around the store, and retrieving specific products for them from around the store, or from behind the service desk • I quit working so would focus on my dual degree of my high school diploma and my associate degree
