• Responsible for post work including but not limited to, editing, visual effects, sound design, animation, color and overall
graphic treatments.
• When applicable source and manage hired post contractors providing direction to ensure the final output meets project
expectations and timeline.
• Works on animation concepts, responsible for creating seasonal and campaign specific animations.
Acting staff photographer/director of photography
• Work with the Creative Director to concept, evolve and finalize project briefs including but not limited to, actual concept,
talent, locations, hair/makeup and stylists.
• Works as primary photographer on shoots.
• Work with Brand Managers as a lead for pre-production planning and coordination for photo shoots.
• Work with Brand Managers to ensure production schedules and coordination of resources runs smoothly. This includes the
projection and tracking of production budgets.
• Responsible for delegating post work responsibilities ensuring a constant in quality and attention to detail.
• When applicable source and manage hired post contractors providing direction to ensure the final output meets
expectations and timeline.
• Works closely with Marketing to implement final photography. Works with Brand Managers to provide photo assets for all
PR, web and social needs.
• Responsible for all custom catalog/web/social photo needs including but not limited to product, athlete imagery and
marketed stories.
• When applicable source and manage hired photography contractors providing direction to ensure the final output meets
expectations and timeline.
• Responsible for cataloging/archiving all photo content.
• Leads the department in maintaining the latest improvements to photo technology insuring the brand is up to date in both
the technical and physical realm to meet/exceed the industry standard.
• Responsible for maintaining all camera gear and inventory including hardware and software, external hard drives, and
technical accessories. Also includes maintaining the in-house photo studio.
Oversee and execute video projects
• Work with the Creative Director to concept, evolve and finalize project briefs including but not limited to, actual concept,
scripts, camera movements/angles, locations, and talent.
• Work with Brand Managers as a lead for pre-production planning and coordination for video shoots.
• Works as an active director/producer on video shoots, working with Brand Managers to ensure production schedules and
coordination of resources runs smoothly. This includes the projection and tracking of production budgets.
• Direct primary/secondary camera operators and talent during shoots to ensure capture aligns with the shotlist and time
line.
• When applicable take the role of primary camera operator.
• Works closely with Marketing to implement video directives. Works with Brand Managers to provide video assets for all
PR, web and social needs.
• Responsible for cataloging/archiving all video content.
• Leads the department in maintaining the latest improvements to video technology insuring the brand is up to date in both
the technical and physical realm to meet/exceed the industry standard.

managers to provide photo assets for all PR and social needs
• When applicable, travels to photography locations to capture athletes and event imagery
• Works with Art Director on animation concepts, responsible for creating seasonal and campaign specific animations
• Responsible for large and small scale video projects including brand reels, tradeshow loops, athlete profiles, event
coverage and GIF’s
• Responsible for maintaining all camera and video gear and inventory including hardware and software, external hard

• Work with outside contractors, inside marketing and sales to schedule, develop and maintain relevant marketing materials
for US/International/Online Dealers’ sites.
- product animations (photograph, design and animate product animations for the homepage, sunglass, snow goggle
and mx goggle sections)
- featured product viral sites (design, photograph and animate viral features for one product in each section (sun/
snow/mx) per month)
- web banners (design and animate for marketing to distribute)
- online contests/promotions (designs, animations, email blasts and contest page graphics)

• Collaborate with TMs to maintain a constant online media presence of all athletes’ coverage, including a relevant and up
to date athlete section (new site).
• Work with developers to ensure all content is properly placed according to schedule (new site).
PHOTOGRAPHY
• Product Photography (shoot new products for use on web and catalogs)
• Athlete Photography (collaborate with the Art Director to stage and shoot athletes when they visit Spy)
• Event Photography (photograph Spy events (tradeshows, parties etc…))
VIDEO
• Viral Product Video (create 30-second product commercials for select product styles for use on the web and TV, ultimately create a video of Spy product/athletes for promotional in-store and TV use.)
• Work with Outside contractors and Team Managers to integrate video items into the website via animations etc.
*During this time the job and responsibilities changed and elevated greatly although none of these new responsibilities were documented until the previous description above.
